Band, I can say that I am having

thoughts of marching
this year. I know
it sounds stupid, but
I want to play this game
on launch week
more
than be beaten at nationals by Broken Arrow Marching
Band. I also wish to focus more on school work rather than miss days and days of school for marching
competitions. I know some of you marchers might be saying
“Oh you Yoink! You should be glad
your band is going to nationals”. But Halo 4 (And Halo in general) has become an important part of me like anything else. And missing Halo 4 launch and not being able to play probaby my last good online gaming extravaganza with my best of friends will be a
bummer
no doubt. I will miss some good times. However, missing marchig band competions will be a loss as well. I don’t know what I should do

What do you play I played Bass Drum on the drum line
Good thing a graduated But when halo 3 came out i had school the next day i was still there at Midnight release but i played it all night went to school then finished after school If you can some how take it with you im sure others would love it On your down time But thats just me

I play Alto sax (I will most likely be section leader this season) I was thinking about taking my xbox with me to play Halo 4 with friends and all. But I just honestly don’t know what to think of all this. Like I said, its not just Halo 4, but I feel I would have much more time for homework, working out, working, etc.
I graduated from Owasso High School’s Pride of Owasso marching band in 2010. I went to Nationals my senior year (this past year Owasso took 7th overall!). Don’t drop out for Halo 4 dude. Not worth it. High School marching band is once in a life time, especially considering you’re a woodwind player (me too, Clarinet) and can’t do DCI.
On a side note, Owasso band members weren’t allowed to bring gaming consoles on trips.
But stay in band bro! I sure as heck miss it.
PS: I also think B.A. winning is bullcrap. =)

I thank you immensly for the feedback. And yes, B.A. is Yoinking Yoink! I don’t know how they win all the freaking time cause they especially didn’t earn 1st place nationals with last years peice if Yoink! show
band is a good experience i would stay i mean if anything it give good College options and Career Options and everything i would stay with it and being section leader(unless of course there is too much drama Dramas never good and almost never worth it

I know, I know. I will probably end up taking my console on the trip, and on the way there I will beat the whole campaign on the charter bus (if the Yoinking outlets work this time)

There is litteraly SO much drama. Like all the time lol.

I’m glad to give input. I agree that Broken Arrow’s show made really no sense last year, and there wasn’t anything memorable about it. No wow moments. They performed it well, I just don’t think it deserved first place. I’ve gotta show some respect for my 20 minutes away neighbors.

A man’s got to do what a man’s got to do, simple as that OP. You’ll either make time for both or just check your priorities and see which one you prefer the most.

Lol for BOA we had to stand next to Broken Arrow for like an hour, waiting to march out onto the field for finals ceremony. Some of them are a pretty cool bunch, others are just plain DUMB.

Yeah Drumline! i play tenors, quads, whatever the hell you want to call them lol
I’m in Illinois, but our band has never gotten to nationals, but we have placed pretty high in State competitions. I play trumpet for my band.
