For the love of .. let us choose language!

or HIRE TRANSLATORS AND STOP USING GOOGLE TRANSLATE.

Except for Microsoft’s xbox.com page in “Norwegian” I have never seen such terrible writing and terrible use of words of my language in media/gaming product before.

Let me give you one example: Killstreak is translated into “Killrekke”.

Kill isn’t even a WORD in norwegian, so they have basically put “KILL” which is english, together with the norwegian word “REKKE” which has various meanings, but in this case: sorted after each other, like in a line or in a list.

There are so many translations that makes absolutely no sense at all, and would make any sane norwegian pull their hair out.

Funfact:

I have had two funny confidences in my life.

When I was really young I read all the books from Narnia, and just a month later they announced the first movie. And by the way, the movies are terrible compared to the books.

The second time, I went on to xbox.com twice to complain about their TERRIBLE translations on their website, and just a little bit later google sent out messages asking if people were happy about the translations they had provided on youtube.com.

343, if you choose to not let us select a language of our choice or drop them all together… I would at least advice you to send us messages before the game is out, concerning translations.

In my opinion “Only having English as language” is the best option.

Before we could choose language in games, gamer’s were the best English-speakers", across the globe. English is a very important language. You can think of it as France vs the rest of Europe. Every person in every country in Europe except for France speak decent or above-average English. Why is that you might think? English is not , forced on them! For example, the AMERICAN movies are dubbed.

I go to college and I had a french girl living in the same dorm as me, and I sometimes got to read her diary. It read: I am suprised everyone is speaking english, even the old and and i have no problem talking to anyone. It is not like this in france.

I think that FORCING English onto people is a good idea, for their own good, in this day and time. When I was younger I just had to learn the language to play the game I had to ask my parents or look it up.

Today, I am so happy I had to do that.

We became pretty good friends after some time.

About the diary: I got permission!
