Seriously! Please tone down the play/ score/ top 3 Rumble pit challenges each week. It may suprise you to know a lot of people HATE FFA Halo. It’s fine if you don’t but stop ‘forcing’ challenge hunters into gamemodes they despise. These challenges should be more generic so they can be completed however one likes to play.
Unless of course this is a grand conspiracy to force people to use challenge resets thus increasing revenue once everyone runs out of the free ones…

FFA isn’t really my cup of tea either but I feel like it wouldn’t be as bad if the spawns weren’t so horrible. To me it feels like some of the maps are too small because I have lost track of how many times I will get spawned directly in someones running path and I don’t get to take two steps out of my spawn before someone is already throwing nades at me and gunning me down. I had to play some today for some challenges and I’m pretty sure I got spawn killed like 4-5 times in a row, every time I spawned there was already someone running at me just gunning me down as soon as I popped up.
They’re not going to do that, since that’s why challenge swaps exist.

Definitely grand conspiracy at play

That’s why FFA should be 6 players not 8.
Infinite (and 343’s Halos in general) have longer ranged guns compared to Bungies games so it very common to get shot by enemies in completely different parts of the map. So it creates this feeling of always being shot.

Rumble pit challenges aren’t all that bad.
But yeah, until there’s an overhaul to the challenge system, I think we’re gonna be stuck playing game modes we don’t like for the weekly ultimates. It’s really unfortunate.

I don’t mind the FFA challenges. Variety is fun to me.

I skip every ffa challenge. I still have ~45 swaps left. I don’t plan to ever buy swaps.

The only FFA ones that might be a pain for some are the place in the top 4. Most of the kill challenges are kills or assists, and the assist ones come fairly quickly too.
Oh, they aren’t hard. I just don’t enjoy FFA in the slightest. I mean, sure, 343 could challenge me to punch myself in the face, it would be pretty easy, but I’ll skip that one too.

I’d classify that challenge as a pain.

I think the main point here is that forcing people into certain game modes is not a challenge for them its just not enjoyable. Most people have at least tried all the modes once and at this point in the game people know what modes they like and which ones are not fun to them. For me its not that FFA is challenging or hard, I mean anyone can throw random nades in FFA and get kills and assist, its just that the game mode is not enjoyable to me. A lot of people don’t like being forced to play modes that they don’t find fun. If you want me to grind for weekly rewards at least let me have fun while I’m doing it.

I get it for sure - I did not enjoy LSS and I’m not a huge fan of BTB.
I’m all for making the challenges more general instead of playlist specific which would make the whole thing 10000000000% better. But if you’re a challenge hunter, you should suck it up and get them done. The only reason a hunter should complain is when somethings does not progress or unlock when they’re supposed to.
You think achievement hunters are 100%ing games and getting over 500k GS by doing things they enjoy? No. They are getting there by playing games they do not enjoy and doing hard AF achievements in other games. That’s what it means to be a “hunter.”
I literally hate rumble pit. But so many of my challenges force me in to there. And why does that stupid oddball mode keep coming up. It isn’t fun, it lasts way too long, and it just doesn’t make sense as a solo mode.
Exactly! FFA isn’t hard and this isn’t a complaint due to struggling to complete a challenge. I just find the mode the most boring thing ever so being ‘forced’ to play it week in, week out is just dissappointingly sad.

I’ve had four challenges for rumble pit in my first 10 challenges. So bored of being told how to play the game

Might I also add that so far this week about half of my challenges are either to play rumble pit or tactical slayer, two of the modes that are the least fun to me. And like someone else said, it’s practically every week that my challenges are filled with either having to play rumble pit or tactical slayer. I am getting extremely tired of having to force myself to play modes I don’t enjoy because if you don’t the only other option is to burn through challenge swaps but when half of my challenges are these two modes I would have none left after two weeks. Shoot you can’t even play modes you enjoy because they won’t count towards anything when they pigeon hole you into either rumble pit or tactical slayer to progress.

Do Ranked FFA matches count or is it only Rumble Pit?
I assume that’s why there are so many FFA challenges - the ultimate is to play three matches too.
