For the love of god.....

I’ve accepted that 343 will NEVER address custom games. For christ sake It’s taken them over half a year to fully address problems with weapon balance that have been reported since week 1

I’ve accepted that the glory days of infection custom games will never retake its throne.
No one flag
no one bomb
no territories (and no I do NOT consider dominion to be a replacement)
No VIP
No Race

Though I’ll give them credit for adding some form of BTB objective with BTB Skirmish, golf claps

I have let go of my disappointment in Forge and the fact that you need xbox gold to play SpOps. The latter is total and undeniable BS.

The one thing I do hang on to is my -Yoink!- DLC.

One redeemable quality of reach was that it had DLC only playlists like Premium Battle and Premium Slayer. Playlists like this remind me of why I payed money for DLC (or in h4’s case, why I payed money for the LE) in the first place.

Fast forward to Halo 4 and we only get periodical DLC only playlists that pop up for the release of new DLC.

I gave up on halo 4’s multiplayer sometime in Feb-Mar, only to return to the weapon tweaking and here I am now (hoping now after all the DLC is out I could actually play some) . I’ve played more dlc maps on the crappy crimson DLC playlist when it was out then any other normal playlist combined.

Please make at the very least BTB require all DLC to actually play, especially since you’re releasing this GOTY edition of halo 4

inb4 broigetdlcmapsallthetime <-yeah well I don’t.

  1. There is too much to add back to customs that they won’t ever be able to get around to it. Also many of the things “missing” are gone simply because of disk space. Not because 343 hates halo or that -Yoink!- is laughing while taking your money. Simply not enough space. Halo 5 and every other X1 will be running on blue ray discs. That means double the space. Since 343 knows how bad we want this and other things back i assume it will be in halo 5.

  2. Playlists are something they actively work on. It is a mess right now but they are consolidating playlists. This means a much more simple UI where one does not have to guess what settings are in play. It also means more space for more playlists. (as the UI can only have so many at one time) Even if we don’t get a complete decent list of playlists before halo 5 comes out it at least shows 343 knows where to go and that they are willing to do so. Lastly in halo 5 DLC should be a search option just as connection was.

Not enough disk space for infection at the very least? I fail to believe that. I think they made the choice to omit these game types in attempt to redefine their own multiplayer. Separate from bungie’s legacy.

I personally would love for them to put a must have all DLC playlist for Reach and Halo 4, I played Living dead in Reach for a week straight and not one time did I see a DLC map come up. same with halo 4 this evening. what is the point of buying the DLC if I never see the maps outside of the week they are released.

the truth of the matter is that 343 is too busy making halo five or what ever installment they are going with next year, to worry about “fixing” things in halo 4. also to fix halo 4 they need a time machine. and fire the guy/girl that wanted to focus more on big team games.

Try being a solo player and pretty much being ignored since 2001

I thought ODST’s campaign, albeit brief, was for the most part pretty good. I understand though. (add my GT if you want to hit up anniversary)

What are you talking about being ignored?

Every Halo game has had a long and good campaign. In addition to Firefight and Spartan Ops more recently.

Yeah, but do they get the attention they deserve?

Out of both games Firefight appeared in we only got two new maps via DLC, along with ODST you get all of Halo 3’s DLC, in Reach there was 11 DLC maps for multiplayer, 2 for Firefight

While Spartan Ops was nice, it was more the same thing, go to location, kill enemies. end of mission, it got better with the second half, but still features are gone like Skulls and Theater

Then you can only play the Campaign so many times

2 Was the only halo game with any sort of character development. Now I am not trying to put words in SpartanT110’s mouth but I am sure he/she is talking about the lack of any sort of a good story in the first few games. ODST was like the only game that had a kick–Yoink- story.

Lack of disk space?

You do realize the game is on 2 discs and the 2nd disc took up less then 4GB, so there’s a lot of unused space left.

CE had a decent story (preferred it to 2 and 3), ODST was amazing, Reach was meh, 4 was great

I kind of thought 2 was the beginning of the multiplayer/campaign tradeoff.
