I have had it with people who who quit the second something begins to go wrong
it makes the game absolutely no fun
i would like to make it through one game with half my teammates quitting
343 please add incentives for people who have to deal with quitters
something like bonus rp for people who stay
maybe it can help fix this problem

I understand your frustration, and I can certainly empathize. On the other hand, they really shouldn’t need to provide an incentive to players for simply doing the right thing. They recently made the quitting penalties more stringent than they were before, so hopefully that will help mitigate the problem.
The only thing that will ever work is to stop playing solo. Get a friend list. Get a spartan company. Don’t go into the arena alone. Play with randoms, expect random results.
I think people just need to know when not to play.
The only reason I ever quit is due to absolute wits end frustration. After I quit I don’t usually play halo 5 for a while.
I also have a glitch were every first game I play of the day I get DC for some reason, it’s really weird but my resolve is to start up a forge game and let it disconnect me from that, then I’m home free.

Ouch. That’s a very good point though. Also, quitters have always existed and always will

Ouch, I know. Can you imagine having to be social nowadays? Too much to ask for tbh.
I always stick matches out, I was once one vs four on slayer! Was so tough! Lol got whupped
Unless I get lagged out, I make sure I never quit a game even if I’m playing terribly or my team is terrible. My reasoning is that I don’t like people quitting on me so I don’t quit on others.
They quit, they admit defeat, they are cowards.
yeah I never quit a game. No matter how frustrating the other team are. Heck I watched my girlfriend deal with 2v4 her being on the team of 2.
I’ve noticed a few times the enemy team quitting. Like in slayer the other day it ended up 1v4 like why did they quit they were winning and now we’re going to win.
Breakout also went down to a 1v4 my team losing with 2 to 4. We won to round 4 until the 1 last guy on the enemy team opt it out.
The question is this. While a majority of them quit the game on their own terms. Some quit due to a power outage, thunderstorms maybe. (yes your going to say if “there’s a thunderstorm why would they play if they know the power may go out”) not every thunderstorm knocks out power and sometimes you have nothing else to do and wanna play halo. Also sometimes people play something important comes up like an emergency or someone visiting. (they arrived earlier than expected)
and of course the obvious one. People lag out or disconnect then get banned
yes I smiled to that cause the ban system stole my humanity.
Just a few reasons people quit.
I never quit until the match is over though. Not even lag is going to stop me. It will now that i’ve said that. Jinxed myself

technically aren’t all of the people in a spartan company randoms unless you actually spend a little time to get to know them or they are already existing xbox or real life friends or family?

Exactly why I joined a Spartan company
Yup. I learned my lesson and started playing with people on my friends list more often.
4vs1 machts must be put as null and end the game immediately, for the love of God 343

That is my reasoning.

I try to play with my company when I can, but sometime I play really late at night so no one is on.

I understand if people quit because of lag, but what annoys me is when people quit because we are down by 3 points. Some people quit the second our team loses the lead, and that is what really annoys me.

The idea is that you play with them, get to know them, and if you discover that they’re unreliable then you give them the boot. Eventually your company is populated only by reliable players. Then maybe you can start whittling down to superior players, or players who play on a set schedule, or players who want to grind for Achilles, or whatever other parameter is most important to company leadership.
One could hope. It’s always yoink when the majority of your team quits on you.
