For the love of god REDUCE STRAFING ACCELERATION

How many games you got in H5?

Maybe. The thrust and stabilize alone added a lot. All I see is more slide moves in the future.

Exactly, the thrust stabilize was the foundation of all movement and jump combos, also H5 was on a 78 FOV, and it was already an insanely fast game, Bound was playing in 120fov last night in the Pc customs and it was a completely different animal, it was jaw dropping

I really hope a PC port comes for Halo 5. The fov slider would be huge. I messaged you my discord. I’m stepping out for two hours but I’ll be back if you want to play

Yeah I think they only have the PC customs for H5 now right? There is no mm

Word. The more I’m thinking about it, I do see how that would bring in a lot more players to the comp scene. But then when I think about it, halo would not be as satisfying to watch, because so much of the gunplay is centered around movement, I don’t know man

The thing is, how do you balance out mnk vs controller, there has to be a way to do it, I say give mnk aim assist, I honestly don’t know why they don’t have it

AA fundamentally f’s with your aim on mnk, i can tell you that as someone whos tried a xim on call of duty lol, its better to turn it off

Oh damn, what about Apex? How does skill set work in Apex for mnk vs controller?

i couldnt tell you, the only BR i like is the Battle Rifle

Lol hell yeah, just curious about competitive distribution comparing inputs on other advanced movement games

I don’t really play anything else

Correct, strafing urgently needs a slight delay like in H3.

The top players aren’t just there by chance though. There’s very specific types of people who just love to grind the game and are addicted to getting better and the game being competitive. A fluctuation in rank wouldn’t mean anything other than a satisfying road map for them to attempt. Its the entire reason they enjoy the game. Like if halo just suddenly lost controller support let’s say…imho…you’d have to be crazy to think that people who’ve adored this franchise forever would just suddenly give up and say wow. I guess that’s it for me and halo. Nah man they’d just switch and play the game they love.

If both exist and someone’s just been on their preferred input…this is where we have a lot of controversy, different opinions, wishlists, perspectives etc. Which is what we’re dealing with right now. Like someone who really likes the competitive aspect of the game likes it because it’s competitive. They don’t want to beat someone because their input was better. If there was a true means to balance both, I’m 100% certain the people who enjoy competitive would be all for it.

The people who don’t care about competitive however, is it’s own can of worms in terms of this topic point and it’s affects on them, their outlook on the game and general enjoyment to play the game etc.

I want you to show me some of the movement tech you’re working on, add me

I feel like it’s mostly the controller AR vs Keyboard AR. No amount of god tier strafing on keyboard can win that match up. But I guess if you had god aim, sure.

I agree with you. Top players would continue to grind and strive for being top still because of their love of the game.

However, with the way things currently are, it’s going to be difficult to draw in competitive M&K players that would otherwise love this game, as well.
