Can you sell something we can buy with REQ points that is not in the REQ pool? Things like the classic helmet pack and the sticker shock skins haven’t been sold for about 6 months now. (Yes, I know, at one point the sticker shock skins were something exclusive/elitist, but that ship has sailed. You can buy it in the american Microsoft store (but no where else) and it has been sold last summer for 80.000 REQ points).
I don’t know why there are professional Halo 5 tournaments, but at the same time, the game itself is completely abandoned by you guys.
If Halo 6 would be released in three months or so, I completely understand. But most likely it will take another year…
Add some fun REQ cards/skins/helmets to the REQ pool! How about a fan favorite like the ODST helmet (no don’t comment that there is helljumper and nightfall. That is not ODST).
And why do the classic helmets even have ‘rare’, ‘ultra rare’ and ‘legendary’ written under them when in reality they’re not part of the loot pool and they therefore have a BEYOND legendary rarity…

Hold on a sec…now this is your response to someone finally responding to your overly redundant thread? Man, if you don’t want to have a discussion about your want of more cosmetics why make the thread in the first place? Awesome contribution to these forums man, good job.
It hasn’t been 6 months since we had the Classic pack more like 3-4. Whether or not HWC was going on we would not be getting anymore DLC that has already been established. You will have to muster up the desire to play out of sheer love for the game not a desire to look cool.
The armor in the game is what it is. As Dax stated, there will be no more cosmetics added to this game. The packs you mentioned will be available again at some point, just keep watching the forums or playing the game.
Being a level 127, i feel as though all of this should be known already.
As far as the rarity of the items go, the classic helmet pack is all legendary (i believe) which makes them difficult to obtain. The difficulty isn’t in the cost of the packs, but the limited time we have to pick them up.

Sorry you feel offended man. To be honest I was not looking to start a discussion with anyone. And what do you mean “finally”? You reacted only a few hours after I posted. It’s not that you gave a first reaction in days.
The point of my post was to remind 343 that it has been several months since the last time something was added to the REQ store that could be bought with REQ points that you couldn’t get from silver or gold packs. The last part of my post was more of an add on/wishful thinking. I know they won’t add new REQs to the game. But in a way that’s surprising me. Halo 5 feels like a dead game to me, while it’s still such a good game. Fast paced, equal starts, 60 fps. If this was just released, I think it would be a very popular game. Yet I enounter smurfs after smurfs after smurfs. And at the same time a MLG Halo 5 tournament is going on that COULD get a lot more attention if Halo 5 wasn’t a dead game. And how can you revive dead games? By adding new stuff. That’s why I added the ODST helmet part to my post. I know the chances they would do that are slim to none. Yet at the same time it wouldn’t require a lot of work, and new stuff would probably get old players coming back to the game.
So… I post what I’m missing and you add something that you’re missing. So I added the “good for you” post. I just felt a bit like “alright… what’s your point? You want me to add your things to my wishlist? Or do you think this is a ‘what people are missing’-thread?”
You thought I wanted to start a discussion and that’s why you made your post. I wasn’t looking for a discussion at all. So there is some miscommunication.

Yes, I know the majority of my post was wishfull thinking.
But… I love this game man. And it just feels dead to me. Smurfs rule the game. It takes very long to find games and at the same time there is an MLG torunament going on. Why make a tournament for a game that is losing interest by players by the day? Why not revive that interest by adding stuff to the game that is extremely easy to make (helmets, armor, weapon skins)? Yes, it is maybe shallow, but we’re no longer living in the eighties. Where you bought a casette and that’s it. Players want to collect stuff in game, and when that’s no longer possible it will make the game less interesting. It’s just reality, whether it is good or bad.
Maybe new stuff will would bring back people. Even though chances that 343 makes new skins that are not controversial flag skins are slim to none.
I don’t even play daily and have almost 500.000 REQ points with nothing to spend it on. Buddies of mine have between 1 and 1.5 million REQ points with nothing to spend them on.
And there are several helmets from the classic helmet pack that have a ‘rare’ notation.
After you finish your silver/gold grind, you still have all of the additional emblems (which for some isn’t much) completing all of your commendation and SR152. My though is that they expected the 152 milestone to be a motivator for more people than it is. I myself and motivated to complete all commendations (only 2 original and 2 new ones left) and to continue the push to 152. I play every night and still thoroughly enjoy the game. I use all of my RP on gold packs or any time a limited pack comes out to get more XP boosts to assist in the 152 grind. You can always buy more packs to up your armory and then wait for Warzone Turbo and have a blast with all of your big weapons and vehicles and not be upset if you die with a Prophets Bane because you still have 12 more.
I have no idea how “easy” making new skins would be, but I doubt it is as easy as you might think. You act like there is nothing to do without shiny new armor. You’re a 127, and you have unlocked everything? I would think that with your belief that the game is stale you would ask for more than simple armor to play for. Besides with all your points you would open them immediately and then what? Still have the same game to go back to.
If you don’t want a discussion than post on twitter, or heck why don’t you actually add 343 employees to the thread. That way you would have a better chance to inform them of your concerns. I wasn’t offended just disappointed at the obvious lack of effort to refute my opinion. Who would have thought that when you posted something on a forum that it would provoke discussion?! :\

New cosmetics would be nice, but I’ve gotta agree with Dax. BTB really needs some new maps. Now I understand the point you’re making: Halo 5 feels “dead”, it’s got a low population, smurfs everywhere etc. and adding stuff would help with that. If 343 decided to add new stuff to Halo 5, whether cosmetics or maps, I’d be all for that.
But I also think we should try to accept the unfortunate fact that if they want to take all the time they need to make Halo 6, then Halo 5 might have to be dead for a while. And another issue with adding new content is that it’s already like 100gb or something. As much as I’d love new cosmetics and/or maps, sometimes you just can’t expect the latest installment to remain popular for the entire time until the next one gets announced.

I thought that before I watched all the YouTube vids I thought that at halo 5s launch actually. And sadly I think it’s true. Halo is close to being dead we might as well admit it. the small population (it’s either small population or halo 5s servers are absolute trash at finding games) and with new games coming in like fortnite and sea of thieves halo doesn’t have anything unique anymore that other games don’t already offer halo 5 offers warzone but battlefront 2 offers something similar to it in galactic assault. The movement is just like every other fps game out there.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand still nothing worth buying in the shop. RIP Halo 5.

I’m sure that some of the more desirable items - Classic Helmet pack and HCS standard pack - will return at some point. They’ll probably announce their availability in the Community Update.
