FOR REAL HALO FANS ONLY: Discussions

Good day my fellow Spartans. I come to you all at 343i as well as my fellow soldiers of the Galaxy to relay feedback that best helps the game while yet spending little to no real tweaking to delicate programs and wouldn’t cost any money (so to speak).

Spartan Colors: They are great, but seem a bit washed and useless anywhere outside of Free for all. Two things that we all can benefit from is while you wait on the next map you can scroll up and down and check out each and every personalized Spartan that worked there butts off for the rare poses and armor they recieved.

Firefight: It’s something that has to happen to keep this game alive longer. Some people can’t get into pvp due to the quickness of how things are being implemented from grenade bounces, double taps and tea bagging. Using the war zone maps and bringing on waves of enemies with boss battles would be a open welcomed edition. (That’s a dream that should most definitely become a reality)

Helmet UI: The campaign has amazing HUD elements that scream uniqueness and sets it apart from other games because your actually seeing realistically through your lenses. They’re a lot of helmets in Halo 5 and map dlc is free, so to make extra income to support your devs are purchasable Helmet HUD’s not for every helmet but you can create a few or even use current ones as templates. It would help bring in revenue as well as the req packs that are purchasable.

This is a great game, I love every bit of it so far. As fans we always want the game to progress and become better and better. I hope someone with 343i and the community reads this feedback and if anything takes it as opinionated and heartfelt as I intended for it to be. -Sivis

(PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT AND ALSO SAY YOUR PIECE ON AND FEEDBACK YOU MAY WANT HEARD AS WELL. A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE GAME IS ALWAYS A HEALTHY PRACTICE)

-inputs must be repeated (don’t carry over) when clambering or boosting
-no social playlists, no variety.
-aiming acceleration has deadzones, making it terrible and very notice. Aiming diagonally is slower than aiming side to side and aiming up is even slower. The -Yoink-.
-radar needs to be increased or just removed. It baits people into a false sense of security. We move twice as fast yet the radar is half the size.nice.
-taking away scoring in campaign, limiting custom game options. A general rule for sequels: don’t remove previous positive steps forward that are simple to carry over.
-warzone especially atk/def is poorly organized
-removing customization options (shoulders, etc). yet again, lame af.
-not being able to sprint whilst being shot. Extremely lame
-the time it takes to die in legendary is stupidly low
-weapon timers. The timers are way way too low. Securing a railgun can guarantee that you can control that whole side of the map until it respawns. Since and repeat. (railgun is also quite op)
-and not launching with forge and more maps. Stop. Releasing. Unfinished. Products. Don’t be surprised when halo 5 is abandoned. So disappointed with your “pro team.” Being worse than Halo 4 is saying a lot.
-Campaign was disgraceful as a whole. (What did you guys work on during the 11 month delay since the beta? The multiplayer is noticeably worse since then (aiming not working and radar)).
-Lying about the number of missions? (saying there are 15 and adding 3 walk around missions simply to be able to lie about it)Unless these things are addressed nearly immediately, the population will disappear rapidly. It is already happening. And deservingly so. MCC was a nightmare and yet some key mistakes (aiming acceleration and deadzones) are being repeated. Out of my 8 friends that I play with, all dislike the game. Two have traded it on. The reset were playing different games today. They abandoned it hoping it may be fixed in the future.the lack of talent and common sense stemming from 343 is impossible to ignore. Certainly the last time I am support them if these issues are not addressed right away.
-booting/banning people for killing teammates after the game has ended? Nice
-spawning outside of the map
-unable to calculate KDA? Nice. I have just over a 2.0 yet it displays as a 10. Messing up an excel spreadsheet is unacceptable
-no medal chest at the end of games? K
-did the marketing directions never play the game?

  • Spartan companies, yet no clan matches
-over inflating ranks. So many subpar players are getting played super highly. Take a note from league of legends. Start them low and let them climb.
-beat downs lunging but not hitting?
-friendly AI are atrocious. Stopping two feet infront of you, not reviving, barely participating in fights, etc
-rarity of armors, etc does not show after unlock.
-story writing was just painful. Both dialogue and story.

Define Real Halo fans.

As some people think you can only call yourself a real fan if you hated halo 4.

Anyway yeah I agree about firefights. I loved firefight mode in Reach. Would like to see that return.

The person above Malacath has posted that in every single forum on here, so I want you all to take a moment and report his post. But yes OP, I agree with you. I didn’t event think about personalized HUDS but dang that would be pretty cool! I also kinda want to talk about the firefight, it didn’t come to MCC because it didn’t have a large number of players wrapped in it’s playlists so ultimately it got the boots for being unpopular. It they added twists in it and made it a horde survival type such as Gears of War I think that’d work but as it stood from Reach it wasn’t every unique, you literally just fought the same enemy every round. I think maybe if it started with like:
Round 1: Grunts only
Round 5: Mini Boss
Round 10: Elite Wave
Round 15: Random Brutes
Round 20: Wraiths
Round 25: Promeathans join fight
Round 30: Flood joins fight.
You get the point, it doesn’t has to be that, but it can’t just be all be one enemy type and it has to have a risk/reward system so it’s interesting and can have something to strive for. As much as I hate saying it, but COD and it’s Zombies mode is great for the fact that it has this Risk Reward system, like you have to hold off until you have the money to get a gun and then again when you have enough to pack-a-punch it. The idea of oh maybe I should save my points for the boss round to get us a Warthog or Rockets. That’s what I believe it should be like. Have a rotating plot idea and have perfect defendable posts much like Reach did with the Doctors underground research lab with the turrents.
It’s a good idea, but I don’t think 343i Plans on making a good FireFight idea again.

Spartan colors: Honestly, I’m not much of a cosmetic person

Firefight: Had never really thought about them doing that, but all in all that seems like a good idea. I think with firefight however 343 scrapped it because either they were too pre-occupied with war-zone, or like with all things eventually ran out of ideas to make it new again

Helmet UI: Would be a cool and nice additional touch by the developer showing that little extra care they put in, however in saying that, I would never buy such a cosmetic pack if it did come to exist. Not to mention 343 has all the money they need, they own Xbox’s flagship series and their parent, Microsoft is a piggyback full of cash triggered by the words, sequel or spin-off

Is that for real? That was a problem in the Reach Beta… it was fixed by release date. Does Halo 5 really suffer from this? LOL

The armor colors available do seem quite limited to me. For something so trivial, it does make a difference in the feel of your Spartan.

Firefight gametypes would be a welcome addition, I enjoyed that quite a bit in Reach. It served as a practice mode for me, and helped me warm up before diving into more competitive games.
