For players at SR 130

Once you hit SR 130, what do you do since XP no longer matter? Until the skill rank system is released the XP ranks at least gave me something to work towards. I was one of the earlier Inheritors in Reach but that took A LOT longer to achieve than maxing out in Halo 4. I didn’t even use double XP and nearly all of my games were War Games.

Hoping the TU will expand the ranks but at least the skill based system should help out.

We Sr130 are trying to reach tis level because:

-To spend time in other games.
-Before xp system get’s nerfed.
-To spend on CSR.
-For halo 5

play for fun

You don’t have to rank up in order to play the game.

Call of Duty 2 didn’t have a ranking system what so ever and I played that game for years.

Yeah, it kinda sucks that a huge portion of the game no longer counts. Challenges, something that brought me to Reach everyday, no longer matter.

And I was never too fond of the skill ranks in Halo 3. Once you hit a certain trueskill, it’s pretty much over unless you want to make Halo your pet project and delve all of your hard work into getting better, which isn’t worth it at this point in my life.

Waiting for more ranks/specs.

Im not level 130 yet but I was level 70 with no other specializations available to me so it was essentially the same thing playing without getting xp and at first I didn’t really wanna play but after a while you get into it just as hard as you did before. Halo has never been about reaching a certain rank its about the individual games playing to get better have fun win and find new stratedgies learning how to counter them or use them in your own style. I guess it just depends on why you play halo to begin with for me getting xp is just icing on the cake.

Play the game???

The amount of time I was stuck at 40. The horror…

i hit the xp cap everyday and got my 130 last week i got bored of playing same maps over and over mvp every game so i just started playing pc i am not even going to play the dlc on the 10th its only 3 maps.

I’m 130, I don’t need a silly rank to justify me playing.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the game and even though Reach was my first Halo I played it through Inheritor. The challenges gave me something to work towards and added another element to the game.

I mostly play SWAT but have been working on mastering KOTH so I’ll see how far I get. As long as I enjoy the game I’ll keep playing. Still, would be nice to see more ranks or something to apply XP towards.

Just glad I never used double-XP codes or the Pioneer skill so I could use XP as long as possible.

I wish that I can reset my rank while keeping all of my specialization perks. I don’t like being a high rank.

Look at Team Fortress 2; you don’t need any ranking system to play it.

I am taking my time to reach SR 130. I don’t want to get bummed out so quickly. I am an SR 72 and I am STILL LOVING Halo 4. Even when I reach SR 130, I will probably continue to work on my K/D and play with my friends.

Just keep playing the game. I don’t even care about SR130 myself, once I hit 120 then I’m good since I’m saving Pioneer for last as it’s a useless spec with how easy it is to level up in this game. I’m more worried about my commendations at this point trying to max out as many as I can.

You play the game for fun.

i don’t know what it is, but i need to be able to rank up in halo 4 to have fun. unlike reach where i could play for no reward and still have a grand time

Just hit SR 102 but even though I’ll hit 130 before I manage it, I shall be attempting to master all the commendations.

Not worried about getting burned out just b/c I’m 130. But XP is an element of the game so not sure why 343 allows players to max it out relatively much faster than compared to Reach. The later ranks in Reach took FOREVER to work through but in Halo 4 each spec is the same and the earlier levels of each require hardly any XP to move the progress bar. With each spec it would’ve been nice to assign some challenge/objective before progressing to the next one, e.g. 30 assassinations, 15 ordinance kills, 30 grenade kills, etc.

If XP ranks are part of Halo 4 then it should be more of a challenge to work your way through.
