After seeing a lot of people complaining about connection issues… it was a few years back that microsoft made a huge thing about it, but maybe the word has not spread enough:
Check you yoinking NAT-type of your connection.
You will always have problems with matchmaking if your NAT-type is not open. It was back in halo reach when i had a hell a lot of issues and then read about that. Once i read all the microsoft help and topics about the NAT type, i never had any problems again. After setting up my XBox one i had problems, then realized the NAT-type was strict again… so i had to do that stuff again.
I just assume that a lot (NOT all) of the connection issues are beacause of that, so pleeeaase just check your NAT-type in the xbox settings to be sure and AFTER that you can complain about servers etc.
The NAT type has to be OPEN for the best MP Experience.
Just for your knowledge: I’m from switzerland and never got kicked out of a game or sonething. No lag issues, only Ping sometimes…
Hope this topic helps a bit preventing the spam of connection topics
NAT has a lot to do with multiplayer connections, but for a lot of people having issues, their NATs are open. Mine is open, and I don’t have trouble with any other games. It could be a server issues alone, it could be an ISP-server issue, it could be a lot of things. Checking your NAT is a good start, but certainly isn’t the end-all solution, unfortunately!

Yea but if a lot of people are complaining about connection issues, the problem isn’t likely to be on our end. Good information to be sure, but something is definitely up with the servers as I’m having connection issues up here in Canada.
You also have to remember that some people (college students in particular) can’t change their NAT, as they don’t control the internet provided to them.

Exactly, my nat type is open with a 38 down 10 up line. Still getting problems.
