For people that cry about ranking system

I would be perfectly be fine if Halo 4 had a ranking system like Halo 3. But it won’t happen. It won’t happen because it’s our fault. It’s us that screwed up, not 343i. We take a great system into a broken one that everyone can cheat with. We caused chaos with releasing gamertags to anyone that can give you the highest rank. We purposely screw up a team of other players for a single persons self benefit, people that quit or just don’t play. Bungie first noticed it and decided to go with the credit system, that everyone still glitches with, the credit farming. So it’s gonna be our fault that the general ranking system, not the specialization thing, the actual system will probably be even more boring than Reach. Thank you gamers out there that can’t just play the game right.

There’ll always be a mass of people who exploit the ranking system of a game.

I played to get level 50 legit. It’s not my fault others abused the system, but I’m getting punished anyways (just like 2 kids would jerk off in school, and everyone couldn’t go to recess because of those 2 kids)

Boosters and hackers have one thing coming: a pointless gaming experience

if you are a multiplayer gamer, and you hack up to max rank in one day, then what do you do? what’s the point in playing?

I wish all people would just be legit

Ha ha wtf

I can see where you are going with this OP, thanks.

Umm… What?

What about the part of the population that plays legitely? Why should we be punished?

Because then 343i would only bring back the chaos. I mean they can’t check your history from all halo games and decide you get the great ranking system and the cheaters get a bad one.

Couldn’t agree more. It is sad.

I will never understand why a ranking system is required to enjoy the game. Maybe I’m just getting old or something.

Well it would be boring to just play on matchmaking just because you feel like it all the time. A lot of people like to play so they could get matched up with players of there same skill and experience, especially the hardcore gamers.

Everybody is different. I like to have intense games, but others don’t. Some people just like to mess around, however I get bored of it easily.

It’s obviously not required to enjoy the game, but I can’t see how you could possibly argue against additional features to a game, especially ones that don’t really have to affect you.

No matter what you do there will always, always be clowns who find a way to exploit a ranking system.

True, so true. Even so I assume 343i are going to try to make it work, not revive the old and abused 1-50 but make a new and better system, the Arena was a failed attempt but the core idea was not that shabby. Any system used must be able to deal with abuse quick and harsh, as well as reward honest players so that no one feels the “need” to cheat/abuse, and those who do it anyhow shall be punished severely.

Gives people more incentive to play, matches players of same skill and most of all is fun, it isn’t necessarily and prerequisite to enjoy the game.

The thing is 1-50 wasn’t hard, if you made a new account with no exp. I got to colonel before I even cared about rank, it took 20 games to get 45, after that I just gave up on this account, I then made a new account and got to 50 easily and got 45+ in 5 playlists. 1-50 is a BS ranking system, I don’t want to have to make another account just to go up because it takes too damn long to go up. But the -Yoinked!- up part was somebody could boost a new account and get a 50 in 20 something games. It truly was a broken system. I want to get rewarded for actually playing the game the way it was meant to be played.

Well, “the” 1-50 ranking system had it’s easy/hard bizarre way of ranking, but the idea could have still been built up from it, at least I thought.

when did >1% of the population become we?

the % of people who cheated/boosted is a lot lower than you think.

It’s more about lazy devs than it actually being hard to prevent.
