Since the announcement of free to play I was wondering if the people that purchase/gamepass the game could expect to at least receive some kind of entitlement, cosmetics, anything tbh?
I don’t know where I’m coming from really. It just now feels like I’m going to be paying full price and then so much more to get the full experience of the online (yes I don’t know what is coming on release yet) but imagine having to pay extra just to be able to customise your Spartan, that would be worse that the req system in 5. And I believe this is why some people are worried, and why 343 wasn’t exactly clear on the recent micro transactions question.
I’m all for free to play, it has the potential to truly bring in so many players. But this has to be done right. Halo is like one of the last few games I really invest time into online. Okay soz for long rant lol.
I love PvP and I’m dying to know what 343i has to say about it soon. It’s high likely that we will still have to pay full price for the game, though. I wonder what kind of restriction 343i will put in PvP mode. Few maps? Fewer modes/weapons?

Like yeah I also don’t mind paying full price for a campaign, especially if it’s full of content. The multiplayer has always been like the seasoning to halo. As long as we can earn cosmetics like other halos (even halo 5 req packs) I’ll be happy. But yeah if there’s cut content from multiplayer, and btb maps just created in forge plastic then this “back to it’s roots” is a joke
I’m very curious about what parts will be F2P. I imagine MM, custom games (hopefully with a custom games browser at launch) and Theater for MP will be F2P while Forge could remain behind a paywall. I don’t except too much “extra” content for the MP when buying the full game for 60€/$ (or more depending on what kind of >G O L D< editions will be available lmao)
We bloody better, us fans have kept the franchise alive despite its failings. reward everyone who owns previous games to as well as those that actually buy infinite. We shouldn’t have to buy into game passes or pay for cosmetics. No one not a single person asked for this.

Most likely
If it’s going to have a battle pass, I would like to have at least the first season for free if I purchase the game.
Otherwise I’m going to hold out on saying anything until we get some proper multiplayer details.
Well the game isn’t completely free…there’s still the campaign. I just hope they abolish xbox live ‘gold’ and make it proper free to play online with the F2P Halo Infinite, though not happy about F2P due to those games always have some sort of predatory system in them. Though making it F2P means I only need to buy one game for campaign like on Xbox then just download the F2P version on Steam.
