Those of you who played the Reach beta most likely remember that Powerhouse had two toilets in the latrine by the shower.
You most likely took lots of funny screenies of dead spartans in the toilets face first like they fell in talking to ralph after an all nighter
But why, oh why did they have to be removed after the beta and not remain on the map in the final game???
Let’s discuss possible theories as to why the toilets got the axe.
I think a certain demographic of the population complained a lot that the toilets were over powered, flushed too hard, and made gameplay imbalanced.
Rather than nerf the toilets with a “green” Reach friendly toilet that conserved water they just removed them.
Discuss.
This is fun, tongue in cheek silliness - let’s not get TOO serious folks
Burglars. That explains why Sword base got trashed, too.
The Covenant thought they were alters for prayer and took them as trophies, jokes on them LOL
Well it wouldn’t make sense would it, we never see Spartans use the toilet, so they cut the toilets from the game.
(That sounded like I was trying to be serious, trust me, I’m not)

Yeah, I reckon if Spartans have Jump-Jets and Bubble Shields inbuilt in them, they should have a portable toilet down there too.
Oviously the toilets were overpowered much like plasma rifles and repeaters so they had to be removed to stop the game slowing down.

They were removed because people would smuggle ordnance inside the cisterns. Not a bad idea, but when somebody flushed…
