How long did it take you to download off of a disc?
If you haven’t finished yet, how long have you been waiting.
Personally my disc was at 75% within 10 minutes and since then I’ve waited 3 hours and it’s only at 90%.
About 3 hours once it gets to 88% it starts to slow down.
You need to unplug from internet when loading the disc. It wants to download the 9Gb patch at the same time it is trying to load the game.

It sure is, but when me and my girlfriend got $50 from the MS store promo, the cheap–Yoink- in me took the sacrifice to get a physical copy.
The disc installed pretty quick, but the download was quite erratic. 0-80% happened in no time flat, but the rest took as long as my estimate.
To be honest I have had this issue with every xbox one game I buy it seems. The disc install for ps4 games seems to be so much faster, I am not sure why. You would think it would be the same process.

I second this, as it is excellent advice.
BEFORE INSERTING THE DISC turn off your Xbones wireless network connection by : Going to settings, selecting network, and then turn off.
THEN insert your disc and allow it to install fully.
AFTER turn your wireless network connection back on, and download the update… note… whilst this method will save you time, nothing in the known universe will save you from god awfully long and drawn out waits for MASSIVE updates on day one releases.

I’ve tried this and my game won’t install at all I’ve been trying since 9 since I picked up my copy last night won’t go past 0%

Will it still work if I’m installing currently or does it have to be done before?

If I’m 92% through can I still do this?
When I inserted the disc, I was asked if I wanted to download the 9Gb update, which I refused as it said to be only necessary for multiplayer.
The install from disc took an hour. But right after launching the game, the update request appeared and prevented the game from loading unless I executed it.
The update takes an awful lot of time (currently 90% after an hour, the last 15% being the longest as stated before) . Point is, maybe if I had unplugged the console from the internet I could have been already playing the campaign, which I wanted to finish before the multiplayer anyways.
Is there a way it tries to load the patch first? Because mine took hours for only 23%, so now I am basically hoping it’s loading the patch first and will go
faster afterward. Has anybody here experienced this?
This is taking forever! I just wanna play!
Pretty much 90 minutes. I did download the promo codes in between as well, but those were done in 5 seconds each. Around 85% it started to slow down. 93% it was incredibly slow.
Good to know. Guess I’ll have to find something to do to kill time when I install later.
started at 10:30am it is now 4:39pm and im at 69%. idk why its taking so long, never had this problem before.
it took about 2 hours or so for me to download it.
