Read their forums as well…
Look familiar? They are having similar issues, people are complaining that there is no difference and that older games are better, blah blah blah. I would trust 343i (a company who has EVERYTHING to prove since this is their first release of a MAJOR franchise) to fix the issues and listen to the community MORE than I would trust effing Activision.
Both games will eventually be molded to what the community wants, but I think more-so with Halo 4. SWAT was added in what… 2 days? In the midst of working on server solutions? In the midst of creating new content? Do you know how hard all of that is? Do you realize how much stress is put on a server when hundreds of thousands of people are utilizing it at the same time?
“Oh… well they should have tested them!”
They have limited resources! Bugs, glitches, errors, etc. are more easily uncovered when 500k people play a game than when a small test group does. Personally, given the choice of having minimal access to a beta test and a longer release date, or having no beta and a shorter release date, I would choose the latter. Yes, I know that means there will be bugs, but at least I get to play a mostly functional version of the game.
To the small handful of you out there with truly game braking issues (can’t even load the disk, can’t play through campaign and multiplayer, etc.), I feel for you. But rest assured; fixing whatever issues are causing those problems are 343i’s top priority.
