For all the players defending 343i and the decisions they've made

Mad? Kid I am laughing hysterically at all these posts of hate. But nice try though

Guys can we ignore @Venture_Jones for a sec and talk about the fact that nobody is sharing ideas on how the multiplayer experience could be improved?

I thought this was a feedback forum? Everyone here is just arguing. Can we please get this thread back on track and have a discussion?

So the same thing that EA does. I guess your one of those people that “gets a sense of accomplishment” out of lootboxes. But hey, if you want to play free dress up sims instead of a FPS you can always go play those odd anime flash games and make yourself a new underage wifu.

Infinite at least worked out split screen technology saving everyone the pleasure of buying 3 more xboxes, tvs, and accounts. But you’re right, at least 5 launched with a hybrid pay to win game mode.

I have more matches played and a higher rank than you but all things considered this is an even trade since you’re defending 343i’s Halo 5.

Because the only feedback people have given is hatred due to their own negligence of using their own head.

Plus the majority of actual feedback has been rehashed over and over again in the same posts. How many times can we say that desync needs fixing or BTB needs fixing, etc.

And when people actually want to discuss fun things about the game, like movement tricks to hiding spots, etc. They don’t even get any traction because people just want to complain about the same thing that has already been said as if it is still in the dark.

Plus the title for the thread isn’t even about improvements its about being upset at people who defend 343i. As if its some sort of sin. I defend the fact that they sent out this game early and yes it could use a whole lot of love with updates and such, store, etc. But I also understand that it is the holiday time and they have a break to take and I can easily be patient to see what updates will come when they get back to work.

That’s exactly my point, who cares about the people defending 343?

We need to be focused on making sure feedback is heard loud and clear. Yeah, 343 left at a bad time. However, let’s not let that distract from the current issues.

We have:

  1. Desync issues
  2. Missing features
  3. Terrible Progression
  4. Lack of sensitivity options (+wonky aiming)

I mean there’s plenty to talk about.

Loud and clear? It’s been like that for weeks. I am sure they fully understand what is wrong when even some devs themselves say they hate some parts of the game when playing.

What would be better is people literally giving constructive feedback on things instead of just repeating the same thing over and over again because “their voice needs to be heard”.

Well, some people in the community feel like their voices aren’t being heard. We’re talking about diehard fans who love it to death but haven’t been receiving good games.

I can see why people aren’t enjoying Halo 4, 5 and Infinite and understand their frustration. However, communication from 343 isn’t crystal clear sometimes. They tell us one thing and it turns out to be a lie.

That’s frustrating to deal with as a customer. Doesn’t excuse the uncivilized tendencies I’ve notice from a few folk around here but that’s bound to happen when doing business. All we can do as individuals is give our feedback and hope for the best.

lmao, keep replying with your emojis like they do anything, not my fault you don’t understand forums, I wont be reading your reply so dont waste your time

On the topic of progression/ui I just found this post on Reddit these reworked screenshots of what the ui, menus and progression should be look absolutely wicked, they bring back the nostalgia factor and feel more “halo” whilst also looking new and improved!

This would’ve been so much better than the current ui… which I don’t even get why we didn’t something more along these lines since it’s pretty much the MCC ui.

I miss pre and after game lobbies  also the ability to see your challenge progression while in game would’ve been so much better than trying to remember everything before the match starts.

IDK about the others but @TheWaIkingDev @ShinoKeiyakusha and I started by arguing but had a good constructive discussion by the end of it.

Seems better but no to map voting and same to vetoing. But yeh seriously 343i need to revamp the entire UI.

Whats wrong with map voting/veto’ing

3 started my progression addiction :joy: but 3 was also amazing because they had armor you could unlock by completing hard af achievements that people would be like damnnnnn if they saw you wearing it.

I just prefer to give every map/game-type a chance. I still remember the 360 days where I would pay for content like dlc then never see content because it wasn’t popular enough and I found that irritating. Plus had something similar with MCC which lead to the only map getting picked was Valhalla and I got sick of it.

Would be a great way to get the oddball or CTF game for those challenges, now that someone mentioned this system.

The major issue with Halo 2, 3, reach and 4 was that not everyone owned the DLC. So playing the regular playlists would make it hard for those maps to even pop up as an option. Voting did play a part by resulting in most people would voting the same 2/3 maps every time. As a CS player I had no issues with this but I also agree with people who would like more variety.

Yeah thats very true…

They’d just end up in their own playlist that would eventually die out from what I remember. I still have achievements in reach for anniversary maps that I’ll never complete now :sob:

Map voting isn’t great for variety as some maps are picked significantly more than others. You also get even less variety for playing the game more, as players who play less are happy to pick their favourites over and over again, but as this is happening every game with many players only logging on for a few games, those players that are playing a lot never get the chance to try other maps. I distinctly remember on Reach I played Team Snipers for 2 hours and only got to play the same 2 maps for the entire time, Hemorrhage and Caged. I’m glad I didn’t have an OLED at the time otherwise it might have burnt in a giant grey slab across the whole screen. That playlist was pretty pants based on the voting system, there really was minimal variety.

In terms of veto, I don’t inherently dislike the idea of giving players the power to veto but again it does remove some variety of the game. While no player should ever have to suffer through a game of SWATguns, it’s kinda funny to me to have to play bad maps or gametypes here and there as it adds to the variety. Seeing a rare or niche gametype crop up can be exciting if it’s low weighted. The veto option could remove your limited chance to play it even further.
