Original post. View at your own discretion.: are all so blind it’s insane. Halo 4 is going to be reach and call of duty mixed. I love how people say it’s still halo, why? because there is a br in the game? What a load of mainstream crap halo has become. Sprint, aa’s, baby ranking system, instant respawns and a whole lot of other crap. I know there are still people out there who remember what halo was. What’s next? Aim down sights? I gave up when reach came out because it truly is terrible. I was so excited for halo 4 and now it looks like we are getting halo reach but worse. LONG LIVE THE TRILOGY.

343i is trying to cater to the random gamer tag generated noobs that just got the game for the first time and bring in some call of duty fans at the same time… call of duty, battlefield and halo (before reach) were 3 different games and series’. now starting with reach and definitely now halo 4, it’s all being blended into a terrible mixture.

343 is in it for money, that is all. Make some mainstream half -Yoink- game and get a lot of money.

Frankie has already said a lot of our reactions are going over board and not exactly what we think. They also said some stuff has been tweaked since Game Informer visited the studio.
Bungie created Halo yes but they gave it up and moved on. It’s time for someone to step up to the challenge. Is 343 going to make a game just like the ones Bungie created? No. However, they’re doing the very best they can. Seeing how the game isn’t out yet, no one but the developers have played it and it’s a new company, there is no reason to have that attitude.
You have to think of it like this. Bungie moved on and doesn’t care about Halo any more. 343 is a growing company full of ex-bungie employees and other very talented employees. You’re more than welcome to your opinions but please don’t dog a new company. They share the same passion for the game as much as you and I. =]
It does actually. Not for me, nor for you but for a large portion of consumers out there that didn’t appreciate what CE and H2 did so beautifully. Halo won’t survive if it doesn’t try to survive in this day and age, or of course it will, but it won’t have that dominant impact on the business that it used to have. I also believe it’s a shame that all these new features are what’s going to be considered vanilla Halo, but there’s nothing one can do at this point.
I can accept that MP is probably going to wind up being a casual lone-wolf fest but I can’t accept the campaign being turned in to your average generic shooter singleplayer, which are so painfully bad that I can’t even play through the worst mission. Yes, BF comes to mind.
Edit: see, 343 has to appeal to these sorts of players like the guy or girl below me in order for Halo to re-establish itself.
Why not? Halo is losing to COD! It seriously needs to update and Change its matchmaking to take back the crown! Bungie started it with Reach,now its 343’s turn toimprove upon that. We can keep the Core gameplay that makes Halo while improving it,making it better,and certainly shoving it down CODs throat and watch savagely and mercilessly as it tries to swallow perhaps it’s biggest challenge to date! Hopefully it chokes and dies at Halo 4s grand mm entrance.
