For all of you trailer haters;

‘OMG THIS IS SO NOT HALO’
‘HALO MUSIC SHOULD ONLY BE ORCASTRATED AND DRAMATIC’
‘ITS DUBSTEP SO HALO IS RUINED FOR LIFE’
Etc etc etc.

I just wanted to point out, this song isn’t in the game. This song was used to create a much needed hype that matched the pace and theme of the trailer.

And lastly, before all of you say how out of place it was and everything, does nobody remember the awful, lyricless Breaking Benjamin song that was actually in the campaign of Halo 2?

Just calm down, enjoy the upbeat, fast paced trailer that was very awesome and stop finding the littlest things to complain about.

I am not a fan of Dubstep, but they could have at least used some sort of nice music from Halo. Like, the Halo 2 theme? Other than that. I didn’t mind the music. Was busy looking at the weapons in awe.

Thank you! The freaking game is almost 86 days away and people are complaining about looks. It’s annoying how people look for any negatives about stuff. 343i is doing a great job so far! Everything they have showed has done nothing but impressed halo fans. Or should. Bungie would have made a COD with Spartans if 343i would never have taken over. Or there wouldn’t BE a halo 4. STOP COMPLAINING AND ENJOY THE FACT THAT THEY ARE TRYING!

Um, Dubstep is good, but it has no place in Halo. They should use some of the actual soundtrack, if they aren’t, that isn’t a good sign.

Even though I was surprised that they put in dubstep into the trailer, I had nothing against it.

It matched good with the trailer and the action in it. And they released a version without dubstep anyway. But yeah, haters are here to hate. It is their job.

Whats wrong with Breaking Benjamin?

I agree with Legion, I don’t like dubstep and they could’ve used a better song for the video imo, but please, will people STOP WITH THE DUBSTEP THREADS!!! They are almost as annoying to me than the dubstep itself.

The trailer was better without that horrible cacophony in the background.

Unlike the original lyrical version, the instrumental version of Blow Me Away was actually good.

Personally, I don’t like it at all. It didn’t fit in wit hthe situation, was very out of place and made the whole thing seem very awkward.
The difference between that and the trailer is that the trailer is just that.
A trailer. Made to pump people up and get them interested, and whether or not you like dubstep is irrelevant. If they confirmed it was in the actually game, I would agree with every hater here, but it isn’t.

If they did the same thing with Breaking Benjamin and made a 1 minute trailer, and the song actually fit in very well with the visuals, I wouldn’t have a single problem with it.

I love Dubstep.

I liked the Breaking Benjamin instrumental in Halo 2’s Campaign (made the part feel more epic).

I liked the Halo 4 Dubstep Weapon Trailer.

lolwut?

Blow Me Away by Breaking Benjamin is my most favorite song ever… of all time.

What I’m hearing here is
‘Oh, a song I personally like? Sure, throw that in, don’t worry about the people that don’t like it… OMG A 1 MINUTES TRAILER WITH A SONG I HATE I MUST SPAM OMG 343 SUCKS BUNGIE WOULD BE ASHAMED!!!’.

If they put in music from Halo, then everyone would have been happy.

It was still inexcusable of them to dump a load of dubcrap on a Halo video. It was heresy, sheer heresy.

People just don’t get it.
Assassin’s Creed did it. Pretty sure COD did it. Why wouldn’t Halo?

Dubstep is what the target audience listens to.

The fact that they’re making a whole other CD for remixes of this sort it simply advertisement at its core.

Dubstep, believe it or not, is a popular genre full of some pretty talented people. Sure, it may be a little off of the normal, but is that not what they’re trying to do with the new trilogy?

As people before me, and many people after me, have said, it was a trailer meant to bring hype to the advertisement campaign. I’m sure this is not the last we will be seeing of dubstep in advertisements for Halo. No, its not going to be a part of your traditional Halo campaign music. Master Chief isn’t going to stumble upon a bunch of Forerunners at a rave. Nor will he be listening to his favorite Skrillex songs in his iPod-equipped helmet. (A little known feature built into the new MARK suits) Why are people so upset over this?

Halo music does NOT cater to the masses. Sure, holy monks are awesome, but only the people who are familiar with Halo would even recognize it as the symbolic music of our favorite video game. And I’m sure most people who would recognize it as such are already one way or another about whether or not they’re getting the game. What 343 is doing is right; they’re trying to draw attention from different crowds. That way, Halo can sell more. And more is always better. You do want more Halo games, don’t you?

So much agree. BUT

The ODST’s stumbled on a group of covenant at a rave once before, remember?
Now I kind of hope they do the same in H4 and make a hidden rave somewhere.

You know what I meant, haha. A skull or a switch or what have you to turn on alternate music or find some dubstep easter egg would be awesome.

Why don’t you stop hitching and let them doo what they do and -Yoink- you dude don’t judge a game by a song and listen to Tue music dustup pretty good so get Tue -Yoink- out of your saw

Stop censor
