For some reason there are people who want Halo 4 to be Halo 3 but with better graphics. This includes no armor abilities including Sprint.
Well let me tell you something, if Sprint wasn’t in Halo then how would this have happened without it? Oh this is Halo 3 era so Sprint could have been in the game. What if Sprint was in Halo 3?
AAs provide new levels of fun to Halo that is based off of preexisting elements from the original trilogy.
How fun would this be without Jetpacks?
Bunch of haters
AA’s suck!
Bring back equipment.
I don’t know what to discuss…
But he was sprinting because it was a CGI trailer meaning that it doesn’t have to be fully accurate to the gameplay.
I do disagree, respectfully.
AA’s take out the Golden Triangle of Halo.
Guns, Grenades, Melee.
Also, canonically, AA’s died with the destruction of Reach.
AA’s doesn’t make sence, I mean why would you need something to alow a spartan to sprint, he already has this ability.
The only way I would want AA’s to comeback is in custom games/forge. Or in some sort of Action Sack playlist.
Otherwise keep it out of everything else.
They did make some fun games to play with your buddies.
But if they never came back I wouldn’t cry over it.

Agreed ^ AA’s runined halo reach and AA’s shouldnt even been introduced in halo reach cause thats not halo and also i dont mind bringing back equipment but only in certain game types
Loadouts and AAs =/= fun.
The fact that you spawn with them makes Reach really stupid.
Equpiment that you pick up is the way to go.

You said it, the only place AAs belong is action sack and customs.
OP, calm down. It’s mainly just the people on these forums who don’t like AA’s, the majority of the rest of the Halo community love them. I do like evade, jetpack and sprint but don’t really like the rest and don’t like them being in Halo. Sprint will definitely be in Halo 4, they wouldn’t make a mistake like that. I don’t know about the rest.

Exactly. I never encounter AA haters over xbox live, only in the forums. It seems AA and bloom haters are just a very loud minority.
I do believe that Sprint should be built into the gameplay like assassinations. It can be turned off when customizing a gametype.
Armor Abilities should stay, to a degree. I loved the loadout idea in reach as it added another layer of skill to multiplayer. I think things like sprint and evade should be there for you to use whenever you want and that jetpack should be equipmentized (have a limited amount of fuel). If we could get some new AAs in halo 4 which actually have a logical effect on your armor’s abilities that would be great.

The only AA that really affects Matchmaking in a really bad way is armour lock, I don’t even see a reason for it in Halo 4 custom games. Sprint must be in Halo 4 but I don’t really mind if the rest aren’t. Although I do love evade and jet pack, they make matchmaking more enjoyable. I don’t see a reason to hate on some of these AA’s. The people who hate on sprint are just…
How would bringing aa’s back make any sense stroy-wise? So spartans had aa’s in the past and suddenly forgot all about them in halo 1-3? Why would they be back in Halo 4? The only one that would come close to making sense to have in H4, is sprint, but not have it as a loadout, just a regular control feature. If aa’s come back and 343i implements them into campaign, i’ll be shaking my head. Technology doesn’t work that way.
Sorry OP, I prefer to play Halo not silly mini-games inside Halo.
Imo,
Returning AAs: sprint, drop shield
Returning H3 equipment: gravity lift, deployable cover, auto-turret, cloaking, trip mine (H3 Beta)
Returning equipment: overshield, active camo, weapon ammo

H3 equipment weren’t great either. Many of them slowed down gameplay, encouraged camping, and were cheap. And AI never used them properly, although ODST introduced slight improvements.
But if you mean pick ups, then yes.

I completely agree. But I think people who hate on AA’s are spoiling the experience for other people. They just moan too much at new things, I don’t mind if they go and play Halo 3 as long as sprint makes it into Halo 4 which will make it much better.

Wow… Just wow… 70% of Reach’s and even Halo 3’s replay value and fun for many players came from Custom Games. If your the type who only plays Matchmaking and nothing else… You got a problem, and there are a very small percentage of you out there…
