For 343 workers, not 12 year olds.

Dear 343 industries.
Halo 4 is a great game, and you cant hope to please everyone. But you have made a good start at -Yoink!- the people off who are most likely to complain, Dedicated Halo fans. Most people who are complaining are making good points Halo 4 is as close to being COD with out the title COD. Most of us know it will take time and we have our fingers crossed that changes will be made.

Loadouts need to go. Loadouts have never been a part of Halo so why now?

Respawn times need to be lengthened.

DMR (my favorite weapon.) needs to be nerfed it makes almost every other starting weapon obsolete. Its like starting the match with a sniper rifle with more ammo. Condsider maybe making it fire slower.

More Game types. Halo with its hardcore fan base is like a love relationship. We want variety haha.

COD aspects. Try to siphon these out of the game. You cant beat COD at COD so stick to Halo Basics. Thats why we play it.

More maps. It gets boring playing Flood on Complex 8 times in a row.

Bring Elites back. Nothing is more fun than going Spartans vs. Elites in Multi player.

Remove useless weapons. There are some weapons in the game that frankly dont get used by anyone really. Suck as Concussion Rifle, and the storm rifle those are ones that no one ive seen really use at all.

Sniper Rifle is far to easy to use. In both normal, and “snap shot”.

AA invisibly lasts far to long, is far to hard to spot, and has no draw backs what so ever.

This is both my opinions and what ive seen and heard from other people.

Good Luck 343 your future depends on listening to your fan base and not just hearing you need to act. My self and many others will play Halo no matter what you do. But theres not enough of those like me to keep Halo going. Anyhow thanks for listening and im sure you at 343 inc. are working very hard. Keep up the good work.

One other thing i forgot to mention. The Xp system must be changed. Its to easy to sit in a game of Spartan ops/wargames and do absolutly nothing and you still get almost the same amount of exp as some one who say in TS goes 34 and 5. There needs to be a bigger advantage to playing “good” in both spartan ops and wargames.

They have this thing called an AFK ban, and people have experience with it in Halo 4 already.

dont listen to him. hes stupid

> dont listen to him. hes stupid

Yeah. Sounds like someone needs to go make and play there OWN game.

I don’t see why you guys just can’t have a classic playlist to be honest. At least then both sides are pleased.

People need to learn that the gaming market is a “Gaming MARKET” 343 will try and please there fans all they want, but if they are not bring in new fans they wont have the money to make a halo 5 for instance. There is a reason halo reach went dead and cod to over most of the xbox population. We needed something fresh, something new. We have it now, and you complain. This game is amazing, at least in competitive point of view. I know these forums hate the MLG community, but honestly this game was made FOR the competitive community, and just added little things to keep, and get more recreational players. This game is amazing in all aspects imo, other then the menu… The menu in this game is garbage lol. I guess its a good thing the menu, doesnt affect the gameplay

Games been out for less then a week, give it some chance to breath. I’m sure they’ll update the playlist, but I’m overall pleased with the changes and since I don’t play COD (same game every year IMO) then I don’t see what aspects Halo takes from it, but considering video games take things from other video games all the time, why should we be surprised that something is similar to another FPS?

Its the same thing, always has been.

Exactly this. Assassin’s Creed III has hunting, and Ubisoft even said that they had taken that idea from Rockstar’s Read Dead Redemption. There’s no shame in borrowing ideas from your rivals in the gaming industry. You just have to make sure that you’re pleasing your original fanbase while you’re doing it.

Now, I will agree that 343i did let the original Halo fans down by not introducing a playlist or two that allowed people to use classic settings, but that can easily be remedied by adding them in at a later date. People just need to start using this thread to tell them that, and I bet they’ll add a classic playlist (or a few).

I actually agree on that, I was going to make a thread but decided not too because it’ll get buried in the forums. Halo 4 is a great game, for me anyway. Not suprised theres already used copies at Gamestop but then again, not everyone agrees with Halo 4. There aren’t too many praise threads and when there are, I’m sure 343 is grateful for it. People want what they can’t have and then need what isn’t wanted. Theres threads on here about people being disappointed with Halo 4 for the COD aspects but then again, you tell me what aspects in an FPS have not been invented and I’ll personally PM BS Angel on it. These aspects modernized Halo and brought new players into Halo.

People want a Halo 3.5 and are disappointed they didn’t get it and don’t want to play it because of it. The hate for Reach still hasn’t left these forums but now people are saying that Reach was better then Halo 4 which I happily laugh at. I want Halo, everyone does, but I don’t want a rehashed Halo which is what everyone seems to be asking for. Halo 3 is played less then Reach suprisingly and Halo 4 wouldn’t surivive if it was rehashed. It’s a new trilogy which people aren’t understanding. There’s going to be new features even if they aren’t Halo-like that can be made to work with Halo and some of the elements adding to Halo 4, I’m enjoying. I’m fairly disappointed about how quick weapons despawn but I can cope with that.

Why do you think I’m not getting Black Ops 2? It’s not because of the 1-50 they are introducing but because of the direction they took COD into is not a direction it’s meant for. Why change the direction of a Modern Military shooter and turn it into a Futuristic Shooter? It doesn’t make sense. Halo has always been a Sci-FI shooter and 343 is keeping it that way. They are just adding some elements to keep the experience fresh. Some of the mods act way differently then COD and some act similar but it adds to the faster gameplay 343 has aimed for.

But you know, last time I checked there were 67k players on Reach. I’m gonna check again but I doubt the number has gone down. When theres more then 10k players in almost every playlist. That’s saying something about the game itself. It’s why I don’t really worry about the negative criticizm on the forums because the forums don’t make the playerbase itself. The competitive and casual community here don’t make up the majority of the fanbase or playerbase, theres millions, billions even of other players that make up the fanbase as a whole.

The title of this thread makes me laugh. It says it’s not for 12 year olds. Yet the original post cries like a 12 year old when some one changes the rules of hide and seek.

+1, good post. Small correction however, Call of Duty started off as a WWII FPS. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like this game and im a hardcore halo fan.

I own all the halo books, all the games and every once in a while i play thro every game with my friend to remember how awesome it is.

Nothin wrong with Halo 4, people are just afraid to change.
