I was going to write a big thread about how people in Fiesta feel invincible because of power weapons and let their guard down, but couldn’t find the right words to start the discussion and decided to do a thread about movement and play styles instead.
I’ve been practicing a new play style which is a more fast paced “in your face” type of style. This play style consists of constantly staying on the move, anticipating the next move of your target(s), and adapting to situations FAST. I started trying this style out in Fiesta kind of as a personal challenge of always sprinting, picking up weapons instead of reloading when possible and carefully analyze your opponent to determine their next move. Now not every style will work in every game mode, but this one definitely works on smaller maps if you know the terrain. This style has also shown me how perfect the clamber, sprint, slide and boost abilities are in Halo 5. A lot of people say those three abilities ruin Halo, but Halo multiplayer has always been about style, and with these abilities (crappy Spartan charge included) you truly can create your own style. This fast paced play style has been a blast and has taught me a lot in terms of using Halo 5’s movement system to its full potential. I’m by no means a “good player”, but footwork and tactical thinking can overpower a Spartan that has a greater advantage or better firepower. Here is an example of what I’m talking about. Check it out. No damage taken, dodged every shot (that’s where the anticipating and analyzing comes in.)
So my questions to you guys are: What is your play style(s)? How long did it take you to learn and perfect your style? What game mode do you think your style works best in?
Erratic. Variable. Depends on situation. Generally seems to be support and suppression, sometimes I get up in peoples faces with a Shotgun or Brute Plasma Rifle. Kinda jumpy sometimes.
> How long did it take you to learn and perfect your style?
Learn it? I didn’t really learn it. More just threw myself mindlessly at the enemy until I realized that dying was boring. Perfect it? Probably never.
> What game mode do you think your style works best in?
Patient and methodical. I wait for opportunities and the skirt the edge just picking people off till the big play comes along.

Wait I’m supposed to be good at it?
What game mode do you think your style works best in?
Warzone
I try to play rather aggressive with mythics that give speed boost, because that’s what I’ve found the most success in. I tend to stay laid back with snipers, though.
So I think I am a mostly aggressive player and I try to get in the action. I think I just recently perfected it (Maybe a few months ago?), and I find it the most successful in Arena.

Oh not only am I that guy, I’m that guy with active camo on
Great example video explaining your style. You’ve inspired me to try that in some super fiesta matches. Although, despite your claim not to be a “good player”, your video suggests otherwise…and I doubt that I have the skill to execute your strategy as effectively as you do. (But I’ll have fun trying.)

I’m always open to playing with others. Could try and show you a thing or two, but I stand my statement of not being good hahaha.

Thanks for being one of those guys that helped me get my Assists commendations out of the way. lol.

And I’m standing there with the flag by the warthog looking for a driver and you’re like “ssshhh, got a k/d to pad, bro” … wouldn’t be THAT GUY would you? lol
Jack of all Trades I suppose. At my very best when in the air though, that’s where I become more or less unstoppable. On the ground I’m more of an Advanced Sensors/Silenced BR and SMG guy. I move around the map like a ghost and clear out armories and garages unseen and unheard. Bust most of all I play to survive, starting from my very first spawn. Staying unnoticed is the best way to bust off huge kill streaks.
Generally try to do some flanking maneuvers but pretty aggressive even when I know I won’t get the kill
I also try to go for 1v1 where my strength with the pistol comes into play but more often then not I find myself against multiple enemies and retreat.
Suck at sniping
Good at mid to cqc

Don’t snipe, I suck at it
Often try to close distances between me and my opponents to engage in mid to cqc battles where I tend to have greater skill.
Depends. In Breakout I’ve learned the maps well enough that I have a particular routine I follow. I know where I’m headed immediately and I call it out so my team knows. HOWEVER, if I’m getting destroyed doing my routine I alter it just enough to throw the other team off. Basically, make them think I’m doing the same old thing again and I swoop in from behind and blast them. I’ve had a lot of success with it.
If I’m playing a bigger game mode like BTB I don’t really have a strategy. Basically just run and gun and hope for the best.
Only really play warzone.
i play conservatively and defend the base closest to our core.
my standard loadout is any silenced weapon wi a tac mag as a sidearm. My armour ability is advanced sensors.
e reason for this is because im not the strongest fighter in any form of gunfight, so being able to surprise my enemy and sneak under their noses is essential
