I know that they reduced the noise of footsteps but now it’s like I can’t hear someone just in my back….

Great. No reason to play with headphones anymore. Sound never was great in this game and now it’s complete trash.
We have heavy armored spartan making ninja noise…

I don’t like it in 4v4 since I keep getting shot in the back when before I could prepare.
the volume of the footsteps is inconsistent. sometimes I can hear exactly where someone is walking through and sometimes an opponent hits me from behind without even making a sound, even though he actually ran. That was the case before the update, now it’s just worse.
Someone suggested I use the Microsoft win10 EQ. I’ve raised everything mid band and up. Helped a bit but some enemy steps just don’t come in. Either everyone is wearing wool socks now or there’s a real bug. Compressed vs Dynamic has very lil in game difference relating to this bug. It’s intermittent so it’s probably related to the server and the data that’s getting fed to you.
Exactly ! I’ve never been so backsmacked till now. Everytime I’m like « was he camo ? » « did he just spawn behind me ? »
But no. He litteraly ran behind me and I didn’t hear a ****.
