In my experience, the footsteps are way too silent. I hear literally nothing but my own footsteps until the enemy player has their gun to my back. It would be nice if the volume on enemy footsteps was increased so players can actually be more prepared for such encounters (I would assume this is not functioning as intended, since one of the perks of Active Camo is the reduction in walk volume).
I agree, During my time in the flight preview. I never noticed anyone cause of their footsteps running up on me. However, I mostly just used the radar to see if anyone was around me. If someone was crouch walking and off the radar, I assume their footsteps should be hard to hear.
Fully agree. They either need to expand the radar or take it away and emphasis foot steps.
I agree, I think this one of the only games that I just constantly look at the radar rather then listen for footsteps because you can’t hear them even a little.

My vote is on expand the radar.

Me too. It needs to be at least 22 meters. It’ll slow down the game too which it could need.
Totally agree with this. So many times I’m getting smacked in the back when either fighting another individual or just aiming down sights. Yes I know, I should be checking the radar but this is not viable all of the time. I rely a lot on the sound of footsteps in many games to help make strategical decisions but in Halo Infinite the footsteps are like they are walking/sprinting in fluffy slippers.
Ever since Halo 4 people will just hide and wait to hear spartans stomping around and know exactly where they are coming from. Nowadays everyone has a good headset or soundbar. If they do change it it should only be a slight amount.
