Yes this is already present in halo 5 but in halo infinite they need to elevate this feature so many times I’d have on headphones. And shots would be fired yet it would come out of both ears. That is annoying my gaming headsets cost 100-200 usd so I know it’s not my headphones.
They need to take a lesson from fortnites footsteps and shots how you can identify where the shots are being fired from and the distance. It’s so annoying trying to rely on headsets for information the only thing they are good for is
hearing certain weapons and communication halo infinite needs to expand on this. With giving you more info through listening. Expecally for solo que players who don’t have communication because teammates don’t wanna talk these days we all know everyone has a mic but no one uses it

Nobody uses in game chat anymore because everyone likes to report people for trash talk when they lose. So, everyone just sticks to party chat.
I can agree with regards to shots, but not the footsteps. I would rather footsteps be harder to hear if not impossible to hear in multiplayer as it makes stealthy plays all nearly impossible when everyone and their mother has a decent headset. It benefits static players, while punishing those who can move effectively through a map without being seen.
I don’t want audio radar on top of the motion tracker.

Pretty much this. Footsteps are just another form of radar, aka bad for the game.
I love that footsteps are hard to hear in this game. If they made them even quieter or silent to other players, that’d be stellar. Sick of headsets basically providing a second radar.
Hearing metallic boots hit the ground louder than day just sounds like a massive crutch in gameplay. Gun shots I agree with wholeheartedly, as there is always a risk/reward to opening fire.
It’s been a long time since I played H5 seriously but I could’ve sworn you could at least tell what direction an enemy is by their footsteps/shots. I do agree it could be improved upon though.
As far as shots go I think we can all agree that it would be better to identify where they are coming from.
but footsteps I can understand but hear me out I don’t think you should hear someone crouching or anything but if a super suit soldier jumps or even jumps down from a high place you should hear that it shouldn’t be loud or anything. Like if someone is walking behind you should hear but not if they are a good distance because it doesn’t make since someone weighting hundreds of pounds is walking behind you yet you can’t hear them I say
if the are crouched then you shouldn’t hear them but if they are crouched you should
i think shots we all agree there should be better audio identification of the direction and distance.

Or, we can just not have loud identifying footsteps so that headset users don’t have even more of an advantage?
And this is a series where we have pizza skins, gravity pads, and flaming helmets. Reality isn’t 100% applicable. I’d take balance over realism anyday.

Lol what’s balanced about easy assassinations you can still hear footsteps in halo 5 and people get assassinations so wym.
Secondly in competitive gaming what game doesn’t have audio advantages? I can’t think of a competitive game that doesn’t. When I say foot steps I mean if we are legit next to each other not if I’m
for example on canon on plaza in the alley and your by the steps we shouldn’t hear each other but
im I’m snipe spawn and your running up the steps I should hear that
i think your a little misinformed you can already hear people in halo 5 in you turn your audio up and pay attention. But it should be more identifiable expecally if someone is running or walking extremely close to you
