Football in Halo 4? :D

With the ability to throw the oddball, it appears as though a football gametype could be made in the game. Simply make a zone on each end of the field, and make it so when the person with the ball enters the enemy ‘zone’ points are given to the scoring team. This would be amazing, you could throw the ball over the opposing teams head to a team mate in the score zone, like in actual football!

For a second I thought you were going mad, since when did football have throwing involved, then I realized your talking about american football.

Yah we are quite strange and on how we call that football huh? Gotta wonder what the thought process on that was…

“Let’s take this sport in which you clearly on use your feet… and call it soccer”

“And let’s give the name football to a sport where your foot only comes in contact with the ball 1% of the time”

Yeh, football is generally the sport with the oval shaped ball. Soccer is with the round one. No need to be a smart -Yoink-.

Technically, football with an oval-shaped ball is only referred as such in the states, while everywhere else in the world soccer is known as football. The closest thing to “American football” outside the states is probably rugby.

And this thread was immediately derailed from Halo 4.

Generally? I’m from Europe and we call them Football and American Football.
OT, yes this could work! I hope someone will create this gametype.

Sorry but your talking about Handegg, not Football.

Basketball. Football IMO wouldn’t work because after the ball is down it wouldn’t end.

Or we could go with another sport we have IRL called Handball.

Actually, in Australia, Football refers to Australian Rules Football, Soccer refers to the original Football, like in the US, and American football is barely mentioned.

There may be ways to exploit the zoning systems…

A Rugby/American Football simulator? Sounds like a great idea. I bet it will be the new Chess.

(American) football would be awesome! Obviously there would be issues because the only way to have “plays” would be the honor system, but you could do Ultimate Football/Frisbee by making the bomb carrier invincible and immobile.

Yeh, it should be called ‘egghand’
