Okay let me bounce this off of some of you and see if we can generate some sort of feedback.

My idea is to reset commendations, update credit amount earned for commendations, or when you have onyx maxed out they could start over with say like a star or tier by it so you know how many times you’ve completed them.

I mean…come on! 2000 cR for something that takes a month or more to accomplish is booboo.

Bungie failed epically when assigning the cR values for commendations so maybe 343 can fix thier mistakes.

sure you could call it that although that kind of talk might be looked down upon on these here halo forums

no idea why you cannot prestige commendations. except for the fact that some take more than one eternity to get (assists campaign/AR matchmaking)

I like the idea a lot but if they are going to start working with commendations, rewards shouldn’t be the only thing. As Reyaweks said, the numbers for earning the comendations are just incredibaly high. Just my opinion, but I think they should lower AR matchmaking kills to maybe 1000 for silver rather than 4000 (I think its silver that I’m reffering to, havn’t looked in a while).

Bungie never intended us to be able to rank up as quickly as we are now. Back when the game first came out 2,000 cR was a big chunk. Remember, those were the days when you could only get 60,000 cR a day and you got about 800 a game if that. The only reason the commendation rewards seem low is because so many new ways to earn large ammounts of cR have been introduced. Weekly challenges worth 30,000 cR, slot machine payouts of 3,000 - 15,000 cR, and daily challenges worth as much as 5,000 cR are all good examples.

Yes my initial post was trying to get 343 to fix bungies epic fail on cR allowances and stuff.

The assist is actually super easy

go to a custom campaign lobby set it on
Legendary
cowbell, and all skulls that give extra life and sheilds to covenant

load Night Fall

if you go under the tree that sits ontop the wall you run past and wait until the objective pops up throw your gernaid over the wall as high as you can but still forward.

this delays the checkpoint
both of you run assassinate the elite the other gets a sleeping grunt to prevent JUN from firing

line up your throws to the 3 sleeping grunts below
standing next to each other prefferably
one person 2 steps closer than the other

wait for check point

then hold the gernaid button down
the closer person get the assist x3
while the farther person gets x3 gernaid kill

just revert to save while holding down the gernaid button and it’ll stay the same pace

or you can add IRON and meele to recharge so that the jackle will kill one of you and revert for you while your buttons are tapped down for an afk boost.

NOTE: any AFK boost that involves you killing YOURSELF will result in load to a unwanted previous checkpoint
that’s why you need an AI to do it for you.

If you save and Quit, then start it again, it doesn’t revert to an unwanted previous checkpoint, just so you know.
