A lot of Halo fans constantly bash the Call of Duty franchise for being the same thing over and over and over again, give or take some new guns/ maps/ perk placements. BUT here we are with the Halo series and it seems like a lot of people want it to pretty much stay the same as Halo 2 or 3 with some minor tweaks.

So apparently, CoD should get bashed on it, but if it were to happen to Halo, it’d be fine with what seems like the majority of the people. Seems a tad hypocritical. :expressionless:

I don’t hate CoD because they don’t change anything, I hate it because they implemented it so freakin badly in the first place and refuse to change it for the better in any future installations.

I honestly don’t think Halo should be the same thing over and over again, and I think 343 is thinking the same way, they’re making a whole bunch of things different, including new enemies. Halo is a fantasy game, they could go anywhere with Halo, CoD isn’t, well at least not wholly, it’s based on real life warfare. So give CoD a break people, and just love Halo for what it’s going to be :slight_smile:

I hate the CoD series because it hasn’t changed in years and is now stagnant. However, I like the fact that the Halo series is changing/evolving.

I don’t mind the gameplay in CoD, but I refuse to buy the same game every year

Alright this isn’t me bashing you, but this is a Halo 4 forum. This thread belongs in general discussion as it not only doesn’t pertain to Halo 4 it barely involves Halo what so ever. I understand you’re trying to make a point, but it can be made in the appropriate forum.

It’s mostly the fanbases, y’know. People get antagonistic and confrontational, and it spreads. Halo fans hate Call of Duty because Call of Duty fans hate Halo, and vice versa. The good thing to keep in mind is that one’s opinions about first person shooters isn’t a terribly important component to life. It’s okay if people have unreasonable hate for this stuff. I’d rather they didn’t, of course, but it’s seemingly beyond the scope of me to resolve.

True for some arguments. I just don’t like cod period. It’s a game built for 10 year olds. But played by 30 year olds who think they’re bad
