Howdy,
In Halo Reach is it possible to get a Sniper Spree medal (and subsequently Sharpshooter and Be The Bullet) by killing enemies with the focus rifle? Also, bonus question, what medal do you consider harder to achieve between Corrected and Thriller?
100% sure it’s not a thing in Firefight and Campaign and because of this, I think it’s the same for multiplayer.

I’m not too sure you could always have a look on YouTube, see if anyone has already tried it 
I’ve been curious for some time because the description for the medal says “with a sniper weapon” and I assume that the focus rifle is a sniper weapon whereas most of the other spree medals actually say “with the -insert weapon here-”.

When it comes to moving targets with little to no flinching that are beyond the aim assist range, it’s not a sniper weapon, there is no way you can kill a player from the top of the spear like that.
But it’s wonderful against NPCs, it can stunlock a Skirmisher to death.
I already pointed there is no Sniper Spree medal in Campaign and Firefight, I never got enough kills with it in multiplayer so I can’t tell.

Yh I can see why it doesn’t really make much sense if you ask me 
personally I wouldn’t class it as a focus rifle but saying that H5 the forerunners sniper rifle is some what similar if I’m thinking of the right one?

Yeah I understand that so I guess the medal description should actually read ‘with the sniper rifle’ to match how specific the other spree medals are.

Well with the H5 one (I think the only one was the binary rifle? which was also in H4) it fires a projectile of sorts with each trigger pull and acts more like a sniper rifle unlike the focus rifle in Reach so it would make more sense to be able to achieve a sniper spree medal with it (not sure if that medal is awarded in H5 as I don’t play it).

Well now thinking about it its more like a lazer gun then a sniper rifle which is why they probably didnt class it as one. For example the Sentinel gun in H5 would be similar to the Focus Rifle in that case.
The Focus Rifle is just a Sentinel Beam with a scope, also NPCs getting a good attack range.
Yes y’all right and I’ve never considered that it is, I guess because it has such a big scope I always looked at it as a sniper which is why I’ve been so curious to know.
Too hard to use against players at the usual range for a sniper weapon, unlike the Sniper Rifle, it’s not very hard to use unscoped.

I don’t think so. Also, the Thriller medal is nearly impossible to get. It’s incredibly difficult to earn.
Also, using the Focus Rifle is annoying beyond belief when you’re on the receiving end. I remember using it in multiplayer just to make other players salty.
I was finally able to get 5 kills in a row with it today on BTB and can confirm that you do not get a sniper spree medal for doing so.
