So I miss the Focus Rifle such a good gun. I mean the Particle Beam Rifle is cool, but does anyone else miss the Focus Rifle?
I only want something that acts like the Sentinel beam, Focus rifle counts. Although it did suck after the Reach Beta.
The Assist medal Rifle? Nah, it was cool for machinimas and maybe for some BTB games, but it was unnecessary IMO.
It was a good gun. I just wouldn’t call it a sniper weapon. It was much more effective in medium range combat.
I always tore up with it! It was a mid to long range gun. One of my favorites in Reach.
I miss the Sentinel beam from halo 2 that shot the blue beam instead of the orange one.
The only advantage that gun had over the Beam Rifle was that it looked slightly cooler.
There is more to a gun than its performance. I never said that it was better than the Beam Rifle, I just said it was more fun.
The focus rifle also made the gameplay a lot cooler

Honestly, no. I hated the weapon, and it was one of the lamest guns of halo history.
I always thought it was terribly underrated. Very fun to use.
I cried when I found out that that thing had replaced the beam rifle in Reach. I always found it so useless in comparison.
It felt a lot more original than the ‘sniper rifle with a battery’ the beam rifle is.
I felt Reach in general tried to make the covenant arsenal more alien.
The Troll Gun? (I love how everyone has a different name for it!) It was the worst Sniper ever. It was even bad for a Sniper wannabe. The Beam Rifle is much better.

Once more I will state that there is more to a gun than its performance. As far as killing yeah the beam rifle is better, but the focus rifle was way more fun.

Yeah, because halo 2 and 3 didn’t have jackals in trolly places (and in halo 2 they didn’t have helmet lights and insta-gibbed you on legendary)
Sentinel Beam is far superior. I think the main reason being that the Sentinel Beam wasn’t considered a sniper weapon. The fact that the focus rifle was supposed to pass off as a sniper weapon was laughable. The only thing killable at a distance was an AFK target. Any other opponent should be smart enough to strafe or get behind cover.
Prefer it over beam rifle, more original and not an exact copy of unsc sniper.
