Every game I have ever played, including the Halo games, automatically has inverted controls when flying. Why did this change in Halo 4? More importantly, why aren’t the controls inverted for flying even though my normal controls are set to inverted? I didn’t even bother getting into Banshees unless I absolutely needed to because I couldn’t fly them properly. Same with the Pelican. And don’t even get me started on the Broadsword.
If they were concerned about people who use normal controls and wanted to make flying easier for them, couldn’t they have made a toggle option for inverted/normal instead of screwing us inverted players over?
That is my biggest complaint of the game so far and bothers me enough that there is little replay value since I will just be incredibly frustrated and won’t enjoy myself during the flying parts.
Also, the Cortana thing… unnecessary and unwanted. That is all.
I don’t like how the aerial maneuvers are on the ‘X’ Button for the Recon button layout. It should be on ‘A’ as that makes more sense, I end up crashing into trees because of it being on ‘X.’
I had such a difficult time navigating that obstacle course of a level with the Broadsword because any time I found myself in a situation where I needed to respond quickly up or down I would become a victim of muscle memory and go down when I meant to go up and up when I meant to go down… and then back to the checkpoint. Sigh.
I had to basically snipe the Phantoms with the Pelican machine gun because I was too scared to get into a firefight since I couldn’t fly the damn thing. And if I was feeling especially masochistic I would get in a Banshee since I would most likely die before getting too far
While I don’t personally prefer an inverted layout, I have to agree that there should be the option for those that do. I would think that to be pretty standard nowadays.
Is there no way to set flight controls to inverted? If not, that does suck all sorts of -Yoink-, even though I simply can’t understand how/why someone would want to push up to look down. Beyond me, I say.

I only use inverted on my control and only a idiot would fix it where you can not fly with inverted controls.I have stopped playing the game since two days after I bought the game because of this. It isn’t apart of the old Halos, why do it to such a great game now? If the future Halos are as messed up as this one is, I will not be purchasing any other Halo games in the future. Thank you , you idiots very much!!!
Yeah everybody, just go down more. There is more control settings if you go farther down, it doesn’t just stop. Although I’ll admit I thought thats how it was a first too. But then I just went farther down, its there. Trust me, you can change the flight controls from inverted.
Yes they really need to put a update to this game to fix this inverted problem. I also don’t use the banshee in multiplayer any more cuz the non inverted setting just make me die in 10 sec, cuz I can controll the dame thing. Wow. I use to love using banshee in reach, now halo 4 just messed that up…SO PLEASE FIX THIS 343…
Every single halo game I have played has the flight controls. Halo 4 does not. These controls don’t let me go up by looking up. It makes me look down to go up and it is very frustrating. The halo team needs to get its act together and fix this problem ASAP. This problem has affected me from going into banshees during campaign and in multiplayer. Thank you and please fix this fast.
