I just noticed these when observing the view on Forge.
This seems like a grievous error in the Halo universe, when has Humanity ever had flying cars?
Seriously ?
I saw that while waiting to see the hornet for the first time. WTF.
I have absoloutly no idea what they could be. Anybody else got any ideas?
Yeah I noticed this as well, the first thing I did on the new maps was go on Forge and give myself a Binary Rifle to look at the backgrounds. It looks like freaking Coruscant, it’s weird.
I don’t think it’s that far fetched that they’d have them, but not being mass produced and for civilians.
It was Doc. Brown, He visited the future, he wanted to meet Chief.

In 2557.

Yeah, this is the part I don’t understand, technologically New Mombassa and every other known human settlement uses wheeled civilian land transport- but in about four years there’s a packed super highway with flying cars on Cascade? We should be seeing them within the UNSC if so.
I instantly thought I was in the Mass Effect universe when I saw it.

PMSL, best laugh of the day so far, but back on topic, it’s 2552 or something, I’m sure small flying vehicles would be the norm.
When I am stuck in traffic I sometimes wish to push a button to fly lol
A jetpack would be too cold, specially cause I hate driving in real life.
I would tell the person who drive me to fly up with the car lol
Would be fun and I won´t need to get in the cold or heat
So flying cars in that ear don´t seem that weird even when it is Halo.
Theres no hornet in skyline!?
-stroke-
4 years of not getting our butts kicked by aliens + massive amounts of tech from Onyx and otherwise to mess with = lots of technological advancements.
Flying cars are OP.
Well, if you look there are also highways and streets. the air traffic could be cargo pelicans and other types of cargo trans port. They aren’t really cars that I can see.
I’m assuming they’re cars due to the light streaks and the sheer number of them. Plus they move much too fast and close to one another to be Pelicans.
Bring on the flying forklifts

Sounds like a good name for unit of combat engineers. The Flying Forklifts.
Godspeed Forkie!
It does make sense that with a 4 year break from the wars, we could have utilized all the forerunner and covenant technology we’ve stolen over the years, not least to mention the fact we have elite civilians who would have knowledge of these things.
Hope that it is a error on the design side of the production team. It wouldn’t fit with the Halo canon.
You know what Skyline reminds me of? Nothing Halo.
Coruscant in Star Wars. As soon as I loaded the map up tfor a dry run yesterday I sat staring out onto the Skyline thinking “What a pretty Star Wars multiplayer board…”
I put together a pic with my awesome -Yoink!- paint skillz
As you can see there are roads and there are cars on the roads. The air vehicles could be moving heavy equipment for the elevator from other places on the planet. Even though they don’t in the game, pelicans can go super sonic.

I was thinking more blade runner more than anything else
