A few weeks ago when Castle Wars was a playlist, this happened. I never got around to reporting this until now.
That’s a new one for me. No idea what to do about that lol.
I think the possible explanation is that as you’re coming out of the spawn area, there’s that little bit that nudges you upwards as you head out. Somehow, I think you exited the spawn in a way that made you float up into the air. Whatever it may be, I wouldn’t be too alarmed over it. Just use a Ground Pound to get yourself back down.

The map was dragging me and after I was fully airborne, ground pounds were impossible. I would hold on the melee button with no success.
Even before that, if I ground pounded, it would still drag me.

It did… After I slowly glided down into the kill timer.

This is an old but known glitch regarding spawning and sprinting/thrusting into a certain type of boundary/shield. It’s something that can’t be fixed, but happens just rarely enough to not be a real issue. I helped the creator of these maps test these over a year ago, and it’s something we found way back then. 343i are aware of this.

Seriously… That one is pretty funny. Too bad you couldn’t exploit a few ground pounds from it… lol
