I still believe that cortana suffering form logic plague is the only plausible explanation for her actions. The flood is basically using her to weaken their host’s ability to fight back. And once she is defeated it would be the perfect time for the flood to show up… But that would take atleast more than half of the game… New to the community forums.

That’s quite a nice idea to introduce the Flood, I personally didn’t want them back although I love them because I thought there was no way for the story to work out with the tons of characters and factions that were involved in Halo 5, but this could actually work if the story is long enough 
EDIT: or maybe instead of half of the game would be at the end, the problem of that is that we would get another cliffhanger… hope not.

Mendicant Bias was the most advanced AI the forerunners had, right? (Genuine question)
If so, the Cortana could fit in to this theory. The cycle is repeating anew.
I think we’ll get a tease of flood in this game. Then next game we’ll get them for sure.

Yes he was since he was a contender class ai alongside offensive bias.

I wouldnt mind the Flood returning! Anything besides the Prometheans!
