It’s been quite a while since we were supposed to have the flooded playlist complete. Does anyone know if 343 has said any rewards for completing the playlist and if MCC is ever going to get cleansed?
There has been no official statement about why they specifically mentioned playing the Flooded playlist and whether there is any reward for doing so. As for whether the MCC will ever be “cleansed”, I’m sure the Flood theme on the home screen was always meant to be temporary, as it was originally intended as a Halloween theme but got pushed back til November.
It will most likely be “cleansed” with the next update near the end of January.
Why do we need a reward for everything? Anyway, I’ll be glad if the Flood theme does get changed since it’s starting to grow tiresome.

Because they specifically put the playlist in the spotlight and it would make sense to atleast get the tinyest thing like an achievement or emblem

343 has put lots of playlists in the spotlight in the past with no reward, and if there is one, it will usually be mentioned with the announcement.
Am I the only one who thinks the flood background image looks like a dung pit? Either way it was good while it was there.
