The Flood presumably all died at the end of Halo 3.

It’s a big galaxy and I wouldn’t mind if Halo introduced something different/new. Heck, Colony’s description hints at the Lekgolo being up to some nefarious -Yoink- (what do they want with those keyships?), let’s run with that arc and not fight the same zombos forever.

Seriously? I love the flood way more than the stupid prometheans…

Would be a cool idea, but I don’t think we will see the flood until at least Halo 6. They might make a reappearance, they might not. If they do however, I think they will appear next within a Halo Wars game in the 3rd instalment.

Hey, I never said the prometheans were great.

I do like a changeup from the Flood though. They aren’t that interesting to fight against, IMO. I feel like I’ve been fighting that type of enemy forever at this point (Zerg in SC, the Beast in Homeworld: Cataclysm, Zombies in anything, the Necromorphs in Deadspace, other things I am forgetting)

We do need something other than these lame Prometheans. But it seems too lazy to have the Flood Return. What does Halo do now that the reason for Halo is gone?

To be honest I’d prefer it if Atriox detonated a Halo and obliterates the Prophet Homeworld and does even more damage. Than it would be a Galactic Mad Max scenario.
