will the flood return?
Considering the Installations contained Flood specimens for research, and the game seems to be set on a Halo for at least part of it, I’d say it’s likely that we’ll see the Flood at some point.

I hope so, it’s been over ten years since we last saw the flood in a mainline Halo game, so I think it’s due a return.

Or both will be seen.
I would love for them to return, and they have reason because it would fit in to the current lore. It’s also theorized that they are on installation 07, which has a a ton of lore, and a not very well known monitor, so I think we have a lot to look forward to.
Many things are pointing towards that so I think yes.

Agreed, it would be better but also I don’t know, considering what others may think about the idea.
I see all these folks wishing for Flood but I’m personally hoping the Didact makes a comeback.

Really, why’s that?
In canon the flood have already popped up with the Banished and there have been numerous outbreaks recorded along various Halo rings in the galaxy. I’d imagine just about any time would be “right,” for the flood, as they tend to pop in at inconvenient times for the covenant and humans (and even forerunner if you want to consider lore) in Halo.
Those are just my thoughts anyway, I’d be okay either way. Just curious to know why you feel that way about the issue.

And then you have me who’s hoping we all get caught in a five way all out war on Halo. Didacts army of prometheans, Cortana’s army of prometheans, UNSC and swords of Sanghelios coalition, the Flood, the banished. Wow this would be a grand finale!
We would lay waste to the that installation.
I think the flood needs to make a comeback. The feel of the old games had this sort of dark, horror style to it when it came to the flood. I think that’s something Halo 4 and 5 lacked.
I hope so.
