I would like to see something similar to a halo 5 shooting but with the floods that a protogravmind has to be destroyed, I have something similar to the infection that if your spartan die in that shooting it becomes part of the flood team I think you were very cool
There was a post going around on Reddit that showed Infinite was given the rating for Teen. Not sure how true/untrue it is or whether it’s an indication of the presence of The Flood.

I really hope that’s just a place holder. Halo 5 was barely anything compared to what is in the books. Parents can make the decision on what to let their kids play, so Microsoft and 343 shouldn’t hold back an M to appease younger people. And I also think that T was definitely a place holder because the description for it was only violence even though there was mild blood.
If you think about it, not having M with flood present kinda ruins some gameplay features and immersion:
Flood can’t be too scary
Blood has to be minimal… will most likely break some immersion (seeing blood fall from a hit, but not stick to the ground)
Flood can’t be broken into pieces to prevent them from getting resurrected
Can’t have transformation animations like in Halo 3

I like that. Survival is fun, but an objective based survival would be cool. Maybe the humans have to transport a bomb to the gravemind without dying (flood numbers increase as players die ofc). Cool things like that would add something new to multiplayer… hopefully attract new people to the game.
If the banish are in infinite, the flood we’ll most likely due to the flood campaign on halo wars 2 (The game that introduced the banished), witch I’m kind of scared about because every legendary flood mission is very difficult.

I don’t think the flood have a hand in the M Rating. While they add the “gore” in the rating, it was said Halo Combat Evolved was almost rated T, if not for the language. Halo 4 had the flood but it was said that the M Rating was directed towards the scene where the scientist were digitized by the composer.

I have a lot of concerns about flood being added back into Halo since it needs to be done correctly not to make the sacrifices made the other games irrelevant. On the other hand I do think it would make sense for their to be flood still in existence after the events of Halo 3 since all it takes for a proto-gravemind to come about is for there to be one spore, a suitable host and enough biomass to allow it to grow. All in all I’m not against it.
The flood would be so cool to fight again after a 14 year absence in a Halo shooter. It would also be nice to have a flood firefight, because the flood are seemingly designed for that

Seeing as H:I is open world, there could be flood gravemind things scattered throughout the world, that when killed, lower the amount of flood in the world.
