Ever since I’ve seen these images, they have given off a sort of flood-like vibe. I feel like it is covenant, but don’t remember the covenant scheme being so dull and murky brown. Even the fog around it gives me this feeling.
I don’t know what this is. Some say a it’s a stationary Scarab (Is it rusty lol?)? Here are the images

It would be really cool to see the flood in Spartan Ops, but I doubt it would make sense canon wise. SpOps takes place on Requiem, and unless there was an flood research base located on the planet, I don’t see them making an appearance in 6-10.
Besides, the structure shown is way to metallic, and not tentacle-y enough to be of Flood origin.
Halo 4 has no flood models built into the game though, apart from the Multiplayer ones, and as stated, on requiem its super unlikely as much as i would wish it to happen
Boy it sure would be nice to visit a Halo ring in Spartan Ops. The Activation Index for Installation 03 was left on Ivanoff Station and I’m sure some Covenant folks would want it. And the Covenant have a history of releasing the Flood…come on 343i connect the dots.
You’re definitely not the first to notice that. I’m not sure what it is, but I can say that it definitely doesn’t look Covenant or Forerunner by any means.
@DC: I would like to see a Halo again soon, too. I like the focus on the Forerunners as a new nemesis, but… I do recall the franchise being named Halo.
OT: It’s pretty streamlined, so I would think it’s what they say it is: A scarab. A freakishly huge one.
Whatever it is, I’d like to drive it.
Well the first pic looks exactly like the flood face model from multiplayer…

That could be an interesting plot line for Season 2:
"The war between the Remnant(Prophets/Brutes) and the Elites is quickly intensifying. The situation further escalates when a Brute strike team overwhelms Ivanoff Station and takes possession of Instillation 03’s Index. With the loss of keys to a galactic super weapon and UNSC VIP hostages to boot, the race is on for Crimson to stop a repeat of the detonation 100K years previous.
But all is not as it seems; the Remnant have made no immediate move to activate 03 and begin their ‘Great Journey’, and the question of how the Index was lost is further complicated with the intel that known Insurrectionist ships were reported in the area just before the attack. Complicating matters are various forces on all sides-unconnected both directly and indirectly to the incident-who are seemingly hampering Crimsons efforts at recovering the Index.
With intrigues from without and within, Crimson is left with a race against the clock to solve a mystery against ruthless and shadowy organizations, which culminates into revelations that hold disturbing implications for humanity and the galaxy at large."
I would pay much money for this. Especially if it’s done like an expansion pack found in RPG’s; high quality voice acting, new locals and enemies, new weapons and vehicles, roles for various other Halo characters.
Sounds good, no?
I don’t why, but as soon as i saw that i thought it could be precursor tech, but i don’t i’m just spit balling here.
I think it’d be neat to see new enemy types in Spartan Ops, but that sounds way above what 343’s going to be able to deliver. Unless maybe we get a mission where we fight flood spartans.
I’d like that to be true, though. Tying the flood into the situation would be quite a change of pace.
It would seem that way but I very much Doubt the flood would be getting involved in such a side story.
Could it be a forerunner scarab counterpart? Or precursor… stuff?

I gave that some thought too. It’s looks ugly.
i swear if that thing comes alive i’ll yoink bricks

Give me that. Give me that NOW!
