I have to be honest . In Halo 4 i hated the prometheans … THEY WERE SO BORING . I know this isnt going to happen but i would love if they took out the prometheans AND THE FLOOD RETURNED !!!
. Post a comment about why you want pro’s or flood .
How about both? Too late to remove the Prometheans given how important they were to the plot of Halo 4 and Spartan Ops.
> How about both?
This.
The flood hasn’t always been universally great in the games either. Give the prometheans another chance.
Might be nice to fight along side the Prometheans against the Flood. Maybe even be given some promethean tech to increase survivability.
I agree the Prometheans were dull and uninteresting, but I also don’t think I want the flood to return. I wouldn’t mind if they completely changed the Prometheans for the next game. Make them less gray and boring…
Flood’s next appearance will be different from what we’ve seen before
Didact apparently gave Jul control of Requiem’s Promethean Knights. Infinity left Requiem with a forerunner artifact that might allow UNSC to gain control of those Knights.

And seeing as the Prometheans were built to fight the Flood, it would be awesome to see the Prometheans doing what they were built to do.
Both of course.
With the destruction of Requiem I would kinda hope Knights would be a bit more of a rarer sight, and because of it, would also be more of a mini-boss in quality rather than the bullet sponges they were in H4.
Flood would be interesting if they were more than just “space zombies” as they’ve pretty much been in the games. Would like to see more mutations, combinations, and species mixes like how they are described. Maybe even with a “unique” type one every once in a while.
Both. I think the Prometheans are a good new enemy. I like how different they are from Covenant and a bit harder too. The only hard thing about H4 Covenant for me was the dodging elites and multiple needler jackals at once.
Just because the Prometheans weren’t the best enemies in Halo 4, it does not mean that they cannot be fixed in future games. People tend to forget this fact when it comes to bringing back any weapons/vehicles/enemies from past games. Just because they acted one way in one game, it does not mean that they will act the same in future games.
That being said, I would love to see both the Prometheans and the Flood return in Halo 5.
While I’d like to see (and expecting to see) both, if I had to chose ONE, it’d be the Prometheans.
While there were times when fighting the Prometheans became frustrating, I loved how the engaged me as a single and dynamic unit with coordination and teamwork unit rather than the mindless dog-piling that the Flood displayed.

Storyline wise, not even close.
I think it’d be interesting if we could have freaking nine way fights. Flood, Prometheans, UNSC, Insurrectionists, Sentinels, Covenant Separatists, Covenant Remnants, and Brutes.
I wouldn’t mind seeing both come back. The Prometheans need to be tweaked a little first though. I didn’t have too much problems with Crawlers I felt they were balanced pretty good and the Watchers could have a few small changes. But the Knights NEED to be fixed.
Problems in Halo 4:
Knights had a strong shield and it regenerated too fast
Knights could teleport when health is low (Give it a LONG cool down or get rid of it)
Knights can spawn more than one watcher (One Watcher MAX please)
Fix the assassination on Knights, can’t tell you how many times a Knight killed me because I smacked him in the back and it didn’t work
If 343 fixes the Knights then I don’t think people will have as many problems with them.
> Problems in Halo 4:

Indeed. There was barely enough time to find a position where the knight is exposed (while taking cover), before their shields were zapped back to full strength again.
> Knights could teleport when health is low (Give it a LONG cool down or get rid of it)
Spot on. The way i see it knights shouldn’t be allowed to teleport after their shields are dropped. They should only be allowed to do it when shields are intact.
> Knights can spawn more than one watcher (One Watcher MAX please)
Excellent point, one is enough… I also feel that they also flee way too frequently. The amount of times which they do this should be limited.

Agreed
They need to make the Prometheans more scary somehow, the flood we’re so good! Just waves after waves of zombies, wasnt just the power of them (except the tank ones) but it was almost running out of ammo and then you have to use your hands and tha, the dog Prometheans are just annoying and the fact the Prometheans can teleport is just super annyoing!

I was hoping they would be much stronger than what they turned out to be.
I think the game could have both enemies. But the flood is just an old time favorite. I would not only want the flood back, but I would want to be stronger than before. More flood forms and more of them. So much fun.

That was a good assumption for a while, until we learn that 7 million people were composed at New Phoenix. We definitely didn’t see 7 million Prometheans in Spartan Ops, which means that they are someplace else…
