cant quite remember but i think you can… you can use thruster pack which gives you a huge advantage
My question doesnt necesarilly pertain to Flood, but with the thruster pack does it shoot you in whatever direction your looking? For example looking up and thrusting would shoot you up or does it just move horizantily.

for what i know is that it move where you are looking so yes in the air im not sure if what direction you are holding makes a difference to where you move

You move in the direction you are pushing with the thumb stick, not where you are looking 
Other wise you wouldn’t be able to go backwards or anything. It works just like Evade did in Reach.
