Flood of Emotion

I read the article “Flood of Emotion” today and the following paragraph caught my eye:

> That being said, for some people – like most who are still reading this blog – the Xbox media briefing was bandied about as much for what it didn’t show, as what it did. Specifically, a new (or old-made-new) Halo title. For some folks, their despair stemmed from a lack of remastered fight-finishing. I know I know, we should have told you ahead of time to not expect anything like that. Others were hoping for a tease of things farther off to come. While there’s little to nothing that can be said on that front, it’s been made clear that we won’t be talking about Halo’s next major title for quite some time. And no, that doesn’t mean Gamescom. Or PAX. Trust us, when we’re ready to begin pulling back that proverbial curtain, you’ll know. It won’t be soon.

What I gathered is:

343i…

  • knows the community is upset about the E3 presentation. - thinks they should’ve told us sooner not to expect “a new (or old-made-new)” Halo title at E3. - won’t say anything about H3A (if it exists) or the next Halo title (whatever that may be) for a while. - won’t confirm that the next Halo title is Halo 6. - won’t present anything at any other gaming convention this year. - will tell us what they’ve been working on when it’s time.H3A was subtly alluded to, but wasn’t necessarily debunked. If this is 343i’s way of saying, “now’s the time to give up hope,” wouldn’t they be more direct? I do believe that if H3A is a thing, it will be presented in some way or another this year or it more than likely isn’t; however, is it not odd they didn’t come out and say, “it really isn’t happening, guys,” instead of, “it can’t be confirmed or denied,” when it already has been denied numerous times this year?

Yes, I know a lot of people are sick of hearing about H3A, but I figured those who aren’t are probably curious about this, as well. With this latest information in mind, could H3A still be possible or am I beating a dead horse? If the latter, forgive me, but I am still quite hopeful these days…

On a semi-unrelated note, it does make me happy to see 343i pays attention to the community’s concerns as minute or trivial as they may be!

No. This was tongue in cheek because they have been telling people there’s nothing for a while.

Seriously. You’re doing the same thing with this that everyone and their brother did leading up to E3. They’ve outright said it’s not happening I don’t know how many times now. H3A is. not. happening.

It’s not happening. There’s other threads on H3A down in the Classic Games section you can continue to wish in if you want. :stuck_out_tongue:
