I feel that 343 has neglected flood mode. You can’t change the loadouts. If there is only one flood with one life, if he dies with no kills the round won’t end. Not only that, but turning off waypoints doesn’t affect the last man standing. One more thing, the music that plays when only one human remains is annoying and glitches a lot. I think flood needs a ridiculous overhaul, either that, or they should discard it and return infection. Let me know what you think.
Yeah I don’t really get it. I mean the Flood skins are cool and all, but they literally just needed to put the Flood skin in the zombie appearance menu, and leave everything else the same as Halo 3 / Reach infection. But instead they butchered the crap out of the game type.
They made it too balanced, flood get thrusters and insane lunge range. Plus forced color was unnecessary, much cooler using custom colors. Last man standing doesn’t get overshields, meaning when you get last man standing it doesn’t really mean anything because you’ll get lucky if you kill even one flood.
They should have just stuck with infection because it worked instead of dropping it in favor of an unfinished, unrefined, untested gametype that they could call their own
I’m glad i’m not the only one who thinks this. If 343 cares about their fans they really need to stay on top of this and give the community what they want. I hope some kind of patch to flood makes it the same as infection again.
I can agree with most of what’s posted here:
-Flood Loadouts need expanded.
-Flood Thrusters need tweaked back to about Campaign Thruster.
-Forced Colors on Human’s wasn’t really necessary.
-Last man could use an Over Shield for 2 hits total til death.
-Most Default Maps don’t really work, Complex being the major one.
-The JIP bug when you’re a “Mercenary” as I called it, you are neutral to both factions and spawn with an AR or DMR(Said to be fixed now). I found this fun and interesting but must’ve annoyed the hell out of everyone else.
If I remember Correctly they “Balanced” Camo so you can be hit while invisible…I really don’t like this. I would die anyway if I missed my shot the way it was before.
I’m actually torn between the two. Yes the previous halo versions were better, but I don’t actually remember people complaining about how the flood Spartans looked. Still, I admit that I wish the game had the customization options that used to make it fun. Matchmaking wise, I like the balance because its not the same camp fest that Halo Reach used to be where being the flood was the worst thing that could happen.
you guys realize that the only reason the flood thurster pack is so OP as some say is because the floods movement is increased right?? if you want it nerfed or toned down a bit the flood would have to move at normal speeds like the humans and with the range of the shotgun it would sort of unbalanced.
