Flood Mode Facts

Here’s some facts of Flood Mode that I’ve been able to gather:

  1. 12 players total; 10 Humans; 2 Alpha Flood
  2. The Claw is actually a skinned Energy Sword; Similar to the Golf Club being a skin of the Gravity Hammer
  3. Flood gurgle
  4. Humans spawn with Shotgun and Magnum
  5. Human Loadouts include Promethean Vision, Hardlight Shield, or Active Camo
  6. Flood finally have Loadouts, and include Promethean Vision, Thruster Pack, or Active Camo
  7. Flood run fast; Have no Sprint
  8. Flood jump height is high
  9. Flood’s HUD has black around it, with small tentacles
  10. Kill cams
  11. Instant Respawns

And Thanks 343i for making Flood Combat Forms when infected in Infection a reality!

I had a feeling they would do it. I can’t wait!

People have been saying that you’re armour dictates the way you will look as a flood. Do not know if it’s true though.

#1 thing I excited about in Halo 4! I can’t wait either!

That would mean in the picture, those three Flood had Locus helmet on and Default for everything else. Also, in the gameplay someone recorded, the player that was infected still had Locus helmet on and Default everything else, even though he had Recruit helmet on. So, it’s not true.

EDIT: Double Post

I applaud 343 for making the Flood feel like Flood.

At first I was skeptical about Thuster Pack. I thought it didn’t really fit in and the Flood was just being smart about it. Now I know that the Flood choose to use it because they’re 20x more smarter than before (only 2 Flood combat forms were ever seen using equipment not including vehicles in previous Halo games).

I’m a bit disappointed about the Flood not being in the campaign because they look much more worthwhile to fight.

P.s. Loving the return of gurgling! That was missing for a long time and the Flood never felt the same for as long as it was gone.

Also, Spartans don’t spawn with grenades. D:

I’m just happy that Infection mode is actually ‘Infection’ as opposed to the old types. As long as we can customize this is custom games to make brilliant Infection variants then I’m good.

I meant color. Should have clarified.

It’s looking good. I’m hoping that they talk about customization options soon. And Custom Games and Forge in general.

Oh. Yes, for customization options: Forced Color: Off. But for Living Dead, I’m assuming the Orange for Alpha, and Drab for Infected.

Any music?

Why would a spartan choose the hard light sheild AA when the flood only have a sword and hard light shield doesnt do anything against it.

Why exactly is the Killcam needed in this gamemode?

Most likely the shield can absorb 1 direct hit. So basically you pull it out as the zombie is about to lunge at’chu. Then he´s pushed back and before he can lunge again, you either shoot him in the head, or a teammate does.
