any one else think the flood are just trying to convert back into the godly precursors? Think about it, they create a grave mind, what is a super intelligence unit, so what comes after grave mind? Maybe once they gather enough they will have the knowledge to find a way to change back, seeming as the precursors created all life ,maybe they are now trying to take all life back to convert back into there old selfs…how did the precursors create life in the first place? In a lab? Magic? Or from their own bodies?, sort of makes sense to me

The precursors broke prices of themselves off to make all life and made forunners the guardians. The flood then realized that the only way for peace in the galaxy is if it is the only being so yes the flood is trying to in a sense become the precursors.

I don’t know. Considering that the flood did come from the procurers, it’s possible. But at the same time, the flood came from their broken remains after the Forerunners turned from them. I think that they have the same goal in mind, but have a darker intent due to this destruction in the beginning, kind of like a computer glitch.

Glad you agree, makes sense seeming as they made all life, now they are trying to consume all life

I agree, but I do believe there is some method in the madness

I believe there is a huge argument on this subject that people can not ignore

Mainly for true halo love fans lol
Wasn’t there something which stated the forerunners rebelled when the precursors decided to make Humanity the successors to the mantle.
Interesting point of view…I see them more like the last sacrifice of the Precursors. Kind of a spiteful revenge

Yes , and this is what started the war between precursors and forunner, well slaughter, as the precursors were not fighters, they were creators, what is the reason why forunners won

Makes you wonder what the final plot would be

Like how dare they turn on their creators, and for this you will now know only pain and suffering
I liked the Flood (and the rest of lore) better before all this precursor crap.

Then how have I, a die-hard Halo fan, never heard of them until about 2 years ago?

Because bunge never really referenced the lore while 343 builds their games entirely upon the lore.

They were breathily mentioned in halo 3, also in terminals, they were in the lore, but I believe 343 made it so the flood used to be precursors, originally the flood was intended to be an accents parasite that roamed the galaxy m 343 put there twist on it
