I really wish the flood was going to be in halo 5. They have already said it won’t be but maybe the Flood will be in Halo 6.
I really hated the flood personally. So I’m glad it’s out.
I hope it too
Can’t say I’ll miss them.
Plz no more floos
Nope.
Imagine a flood themed warzone mode? like the power would go out and you would have 40 seconds to get a req weapon b4 the flood came. Then if you died you would spawn as a flood

However the higher ups ran off all the vets down to the last man through abratiaty and assanine policy and reaction to
situations sadly
Flood WILL come back at some point… It’s aboard the Spirit Of Fire, and outside the galaxy either way, and 343i wouldn’t make that clear without meaning to go somewhere with it, sooner or later. If you think about it, the flood is the reason why the whole Halo storyline even took place. They can’t just kill it off. It better come back.
I absolutely despise the flood (thanks to Cortana mission in 3). After that it made me hate them so I’m glad that they are out.
It would really jarring to newer players if they were fighting the Hive, the Fallen, and the Vex in Warzone.
Oh wait, wrong game.
Oh Hell No to the flood…Brutes I’d be okay with seeing again
Halo: CE - Flood worked on most missions but their use on Two Betrayals was ridiculous (many Flood with rockets). It’s good that most weapons were viable against them, especially the shotgun. You could punch Infection Forms which made up for their high numbers. Making Flood buddies was amusing. Their introduction in 343 Guilty Spark was well executed.
Halo 2 - Flood were less interesting, but they were still a major threat. It was interesting that they could operate vehicles and could revive dead combat forms. It was fun killing them with the energy sword. It’s unfortunate that Carriers were turned into minefields, Infection Forms could no longer be easily meleed, and that the Juggernaut was cut out.
Halo 3 - This was the end for the Flood. They were a shadow of their former selves and only their Pure Forms were a hindrance (and unbalanced). It was cool seeing the Flood infection process. Flood could have gone out with a bang (Gravemind boss fight), but Bungie changed it to the entirety of Cortana + a wave fight and Hog run on the last level.
In order for the Flood to properly return, they must have access to the bulk of the sandbox and in turn be vulnerable to such weaponry (especially Forerunner), have an atmospheric presence, be agile, perhaps operate vehicles once more, have balanced powerful units, and maybe have some epic boss battles.
I like the flood, but 4 games of messing with the flood and I was ready for a new adversary. We literally fought the flood and dealt with their -Yoink- for 8 years.
I am including Halo wars in my count by the way.
Calling it right now. They’re gonna appear at the end of the last Halo 5 cutscene, as the eerie theme from Osiris Suite 1 builds up. Then, it’ll snap to black, and that calming brass will kick in as the credits start rolling.
They will make a come back. At the end of Halo 5 Legendary difficulty.

I hate them, but tbf they were the only enemy that presented any real challenge
Well if they came back, then we did a bad job at stopping them and then, the galaxy is toast!
