Infection back in previous halo titles was a fun game type that everyone enjoyed. We had many players that created fun game types for custom games such as duck hunt, fat kid, and halo. In the new flood mode, the ability to create these game types is non-existent. In custom games the flood are limited to only the energy sword which means that infection game types that require the infected to carry other weapons can not be created. Do not get me wrong I love the new flood type and the way the flood looks, but i do not like this limitation for custom games. I would like to be able to keep the flood look for the infected, but allow them to carry other weapons other than the energy sword.
As I stated I do love the new flood game type. However, here are a few things that are wrong with it when it comes to its multiplayer side on war games.
1: The rounds are too short. The flood get 3 minutes to find and kill all the survivors which is possible on small maps like Haven, but on large maps like Complex it is near impossible (especially with the wall glitch where you can faze through the map and camp inside the walls).
2: Why does everyone have to be yellow. The object of any infection type game is to survive the longest and survive the round. When your armor is bright yellow, it is hard to do so. I know we have Promethean vision, but still I think everyone would like to be able to use their own color scheme for this game type. If you give us the ability to use custom colors, but only allow us to use it in one game type(Regicide) then what is the point of having it.
3: Before it was hard to survive now it is just next to impossible. Infected have the same movement speeds (or maybe just a bit higher) as before, but with the thruster pack it is next to impossible to dodge their thruster slash; unless they mess up and hit a object that sends them sky rocketing. Either the thruster pack needs to be removed, or the flood need to be a bit slower.
I hope these points will get looked at in a professional matter. I would love to see those old infected custom games come back and see what new ones can arise. I know you are trying your best to make us happy with all the ideas you have 343, but you have taken a huge chunk of creativity out of the hands of the community. I know it will not be soon, but i know you can release these features in a future update for the game.
