Yes I’m pretty much aware that there is probably a thread that has been created with the same subject. But i thought i would just throw this out there and see what the community thought.
I have multiple ideas but the main one that sticks out for me is the infection game types.
I always thought it would be pretty cool when your character gets infected it shows a in-game animation showing your character turn infected. I’m not talking about just one standard infectious look. The armor that you picked for your character will show up in the infectious look. Over all what I’m trying to say is that it would be pretty cool if your character looked infected like the flood. Or created a game type to fit that scenario.
That would be pretty awesome. Probably won’t be in halo 4…can’t see the flood coming until 5
It would be. Think of all the forge worlds that would be created to fit this scenario.
The Infection forms infect people, not the Combat forms. It wouldn’t work. Unless you want us to play as infection forms. lol
That would be interesting.
Maybe this is to scratch our itch for taking out the elites out of multiplayer!!! :o
Lol that is true i did forget about the small little infectious guys but I’m pretty sure that the flood evolves. There’s probably be a way for the combat forms to infect others.
> The Infection forms infect people, not the Combat forms. It wouldn’t work. Unless you want us to play as infection forms. lol
The way the Forerunner books tell it, there are other ways for them to infect. The Flood begin to fill the air with small spores, like a fungus, that gather over the landscape and infect or kill lifeforms not protected by environment suits. On the level “The library” in Halo:CE and CEA, 343 Guilty Spark mentions that the Flood began altering the atmosphere.
So if a flood were to cause enough damage to the Spartan’s suit and armor inside a caustic enough environment, he could be infected in just a few seconds.
Why does everyone want to look like a bloated gas bag complete with antennae?

Why Not???
This is a great idea I think they should of thought of this when they came up with the idea of the infection game modes. If 343 uses this idea in infection in future games and still wants matchmaking to be canon it could be that a group of spartans has been sent to de-contaminate an area filled with flood.
This is a great idea, and it would really help Infection games seem more like an actual “infection” as opposed to being chased down by lunatics with swords, which by the way is still fun.

Indeed it is fun i just wish and hope that 343 can think of useing this maybe for a future update later on in the game

So are you saying you would rather have the “zombies” in infection to just be green people with energy swords like the last 2 games? Your logic amazes me.

Really? Yes to playing as flood but no to Elites? Really?!
Playable Flood
Using the D-Pad the player can choose different Flood forms to mutate into. Each form has unique abilities. The player can change from any form to any other form except when in Infection form. An Infection form must find either a corpse or enemy to reanimate/infect to regain the ability to mutate. Players spawn as a Pure form.
