Flood-Forced Color Rant

Well today I felt like ranting on about the forced color in Flood. To start off, I wanted to make a Halo 4 machinima involving the flood and when I heard for the first time that there was flood mode in Halo 4, I gotten extremely excited to the point where I needed a mop to clean up my nerd bacteria from the floor. And what really caught my attention and shattered my dreams, was the fact that the humans were ALL wearing bright yellow armor. And in my machinima, NONE of my characters wear bright yellow armor. So right now (as in, at this moment of time) I’m messing around with the game options in Flood looking to see if there is a possibility to turn the forced color off. Sadly…no luck on finding that at all. So I’m really hoping that 343 would give us the option of turning forced color off. I’d really hate to have to keep scenes of the Flood and the humans separate. And from the way things seem (as in there is NOTHING that has been done about similar problems like with the weapon lowering and stuff) 343 won’t do a thing about it. But if they do, ALL machinima producers and writers like myself would be extremely happy and bow down before the epicness that is 343…and Halo~ <3

i have yet to understand why there is a forced color

Even though it is not game breaking , I find it annoying.

Neither have I. I liked it better when everyone had different colored armor and everyone was like a ragtag team of rogues trying our best to get the highest score for bragging rights while at the same time working together in groups of threes or twos and sometimes everyone was working together watching each others backs. I loved that experience especially in Halo: Reach and I would really love it if 343 brought that back to Halo 4. The reason they gave us forced color was to make it easier for the infected to spot the humans better in that brightly yellow colored armor. But they should really just get rid of forced color and give the Flood enhanced radar so they can find the humans better even if they are crouching. Regardless, they can’t hide from our claws either way, even if they try their best to blend in with the environment with certain armor colors or skins (Arctic Camo Skin and such).

It’s funny the following:

no sprint
no ‘hold x to instant spawn’
human vs human flood
flood with custom armor colors
gametypes with special effects when you die (like the ‘king’ explosion), etc.

were all figured out by modders before 343 comes out with their own. In some cases, as with sprint, they said said it was not possible to be done, yet now it’s been removed in every gametype. Too bad 343 wouldn’t just make them themselves, unless they don’t know how to…

The one you are talking about was literally just mentioned last night by the guy making most of these gametypes, and should be uploaded soon.

are you talking about that guy who posted how he was able to remake the gametypes people been asking for just was a bit harder ?

Who is this “guy” exactly?
If he’s found a way to rid of forced color in a Flood game type, I would REALLY appreciate it if he shared that with me for my Machinima.
