But over the years we’ve had firefight in H3 odst, spartan ops in H4, firefight in halo reach, and the newest addition being warzone for H5, I think we are way over do for a flood firefight or campaign about the flood I think with the new engine and old roots coming to Halo infinite flood firefight would dominate any survival based game and or game mode on the market. What are yalls thoughts.

I think flood could use a bit more variations to them if they were to be made a firefight opponent, otherwise, as before in similar topics, im for having different factions in firefight. For the exception of prometheans.
Also, if you are replying to someone about the post they made in your topic, use the “quote” option under their post sobit’s clear which post you are replying to and addditionally, it notifies the ones you are replying to that you quoted them.
Though I would try to avoid posting replies that are pretty much “I agree with this particular statement” for they don’t really bring additional value to the topic. Instead, you could use the “like” option which is the heart button on the bottom of posts to signify you agree with their statement.
The battles at the end of 343 GS, at several waiting sections on Library, on the elevator & subsequent room on Oracle, at the end of Sacred Icon, and in the first half of H3’s last level are probably the closest we have to a proper Flood firefight (no Pure Forms dragging the fight down with camping). Although the assistance from Johnson/Arby really detracts from the survival experience in H3. Johnson can be taken care of at least.

There was ample opportunity to juggle weapons and equipment into the room, but none of it really is needed other than a Regenerator or two.
Steps:
Basically launch Arby’s corpse onto the podium Truth is on and -Yoink!- him. Instead of falling through the floor, he’s removed from the level.
Kill Sentinels from the roof (avoids activating them) and ignore all Flood combat forms on your way to the Cortana moment.
Then lure all combat forms into the room before the last bridge. Unfortunately, this is largely impractical on difficulties higher than Easy (unless you’re on Coop). Plus H3 made it way too easy to melee Flood to death.
I’m all for Flood Firefight, they could (should) add it as a mode even if the Flood doesn’t end up being in Campaign 
I would love to see the flood in firefight or some other kind of side game in infinite, if done right flood firefight mode has the potential to challenge COD’s -Yoink!- Zombies mode in popularity and I believe it can surpass it if a few things are done right.
the problem with firefight right now is that its a survival mode that gets really repetitive quickly and has nothing more than you just simply graving a weapon and shooting the aliens, this isn’t bad but we already have this to some extent or another with the campaign and at this moment it simply isn’t really repayable because fighting the same AI’s from the campaign but in greater numbers isn’t fun at all after 20 minutes of playtime because the mode doesn’t act as a survival horde mode simply because the enemy’s don’t act like a horde, they act like soldiers.
Inserting the flood into firefight as the sole enemies will bring multiple things that are missing into the mode, firstly it would bring an actual enemy that behaves like a horde, this would bring lots of suspense and adrenaline rush moments by having enemies that simply rush straight towards you without concern for their safety and they can even come from any angle they want which brings some randomness to the mix (the devs can go as crazy or as conservative as they want with this feature depending on the map, wave number or difficulty) that the current firefight doesn’t do much currently, secondly it would bring numerous enemies which we haven’t fought for years now that all act in different ways and attack you in a specific manner, we could be fighting a infection forms in the early waves but as the waves go by we start seeing more combat forms (mainly melee types but there could be some armed flood) and even later we could even see some pure forms like the Juggernauts and ranged forms, the possibilities for enemies are endless which could vary per map, in one we could only have pure forms and in the next we could have only infection and combat forms, this would be expanding the possibilities of the horde survival mode immensely. and last but not least it would give the player a rest from fighting the same enemy over and over thought all of the Halo games, your’e tired of fighting the Prometheans or Covenant groups then hop in to the flood mode and have some fun fighting this enemy you haven’t killed in like 10 years
The great thing about having the flood in firefight or a new mode is that you can have it completely disconnected from the story, you don’t need to have the flood in the story if the devs don’t want to because they have their own separate space where they reside now that doesn’t have to follow the main story of the game, just as the COD Zombies story isn’t attached to the main story. you could be playing as either a spartan team, ODST team or Marine squad in the other side of the galaxy if you care and the content and story if 343i would want to create one would still be cannon if 343i wants it to be without affecting the infinity story and the new trilogy as a whole.

It’d make sense within wargame simulations too, which Multiplayer now falls under: Spartan IVs training how to survive and deal with a Flood outbreak.

Now thats a question! Would be pretty cool! Kind of like Zombies for CoD but obviously not CoD like at all. Would be so much fun if you could defend a base or just hold the lin until a pelican arrives. That sort of stuff!
Or possibly even a fully fledged game about odst or a spartan fireteam centered around flood research and containment on either a ring and or planet. Could possibly be called Halo the flood codenamed outbreak
I love this idea! Similar to -Yoink!- Zombies we could have game mode where 8 Spartans are trapped inside a ship or military base whilst the floor are pushing them and trying to infect the survivors.
I love the idea of a COD Zombies style flood horde gamemode with easter eggs hidden throughout the map that tell a deeper narrative like COD Zombies
