Ok, so a few months back I got to CSR 49 in the Flood playlist after spending two and a half weeks straight playing it to master the Flood victory commendation from scratch. So today I decided to go and finish getting the CSR 50 in the Flood playist.
I have played around a dozen and a half Flood games today, and I have won about 70% of them, coming in second each of the two(i believe) games i lost normally, and I had to quit about three games due to severe lag issues. I also got JIPed several times but immediately dashboarded almost every one of the JIP games while still mid-search in matchmaking.
However after winning most of these games, I went from a 49 to a 48, and soon after dropped to 47, and I’m also taking into account that CSR is a game behind. Can anyone explain this for me?
I do not normally play Flood since I’m a competitively-minded player(who often plays casually however) and I normally do not care about my CSR rank due to all of the BS I’ve heard about it. But, I figured since I was so close to the 50 that I would finish it but now I’m discouraged from actually completing the task, and going back to my CSR-is-not-worth-it mindset.

I already know that in order to ‘win’ a Flood game you have to come first in score. I figured that out while mastering the victory commendation for the Flood gametype. When I played these several games yesterday, I won by coming in first for about 70% of the games. The only ones I lost legitly I came in second, and I only had to quit three due to lag issues. The question is, if I came in first for most of these games, why did I drop two ranks in my Flood CSR?
Maybe u were unlucky.
In those matches where u didn’t place first, the others had a lower csr than u.and in those where u got first place no one had a higher or equal csr than u.
I know this sounds strange and it should not work like this, but it could be the issue.
The way it’s been explained on the forums before, to rank up CSR in Flood at high levels you need to win like 10 games in a row. If you lose even one, you’ll rank down. If you leave a game, or it DNF’s you, I think you automatically count as having done the worst.
